Andy - I just wanted to thank you for all of your posts from the Cup. It has been a pleasure seeing your pictures (along with Wade's) and reading your blogs. For those of us who couldn't be there, you have provided a very entertaining story of the happenings outside of the game. Thanks for posting EACH AND EVERY photo you have! They have all showed us something that we would not have seen other wise. Your photos have been tasteful and news worthy. THANKS
I'm not a moderator or the owner. I don't give a shit what you post. I'm just supplying you with the rope
How did he chose to offend Argentina? He posted a pic of German kids burning an Argentine flag which clearly paints a dark picture of the Germans. Considering he rooted for Argentina it would be much more possible that he wanted the Germans to look bad because he hates them so much. (No, i don't think that, just following the twisted thoughts in this thread )
He is not a ********ing news editor here. He is just a poster who posted something that obviously insulted a lot of people, not just me. So, I very respectfully asked him to remove it and he acts like he's the big shit, saying he's some kind of journalistic news photographer, as if that justifies him for offending his fellow bigsoccer members. So, now he completely lost all my respect, he may be a good photographer but he is a class A asshole. I hope the mods or whoever is in charge removes this filth from the site, so we can go back to talking about football and the world cup.
I think your anger is misdirected -- that is actually a copy of Posh Spice's dress that they were trying to burn while playing that fine track by Ash -- hence the title of the thread
from a different profile, perhaps? So hard to get a good angle... I guess it really DOES take a pro like Andy to get the good shots...
He's gonna have to fork over the $500 he was going to give you and the $500 he was going to keep for himself.
Hmm. Now that would be news. Goodnight all. It's been fun. I'm sure this thread will be locked or moved or both by the time I get up in the morning. There was no intent to inflame or insult with either the thread or the title. News photos are meant to be thought provoking. The photos of the kids burning the flag definitely do that as this thread shows. And the thread title only came about because of a Public Enemy song rolling around in my head. C'est la guerre. I'll try to do better next time. It's impossible to please 100% of the people 100% of the time. I only ask the posters who are upset with me, personally, to step back and think about who and why they are really angry. Do we really want to not have emotional, distressing events covered? My intent was not to provoke, attack, or insult Argentina or their fans. If you don't believe that now, nothing I will ever post will likely change your mind. Good night. This is now the most posted to non-Loney Blog thread!
http://www.phonicstutor.com/images/2000PHSAWARD.jpg are you guys really arguing over a rookie sports photographer's shot? waiter, check....please.
The only "problem" I have with this pic is that it will go areound the world but noone will read this about it: But whatever. I'm proud when my country does something good so I also have to take responsibility for the stupid Germans who do something terrible.
seriously, who gives a flying fuck about a couple of irrelevant spotty schoolboys trying and failing to burn a flag?
This should be moved to World Rivalries and should grow longer and longer there. It sure has potential.
