Wow, somebody finally scored more than one goal. The WPL kicks into midseason form as player scores start climbing and the pack at the top gets tighter. Every top five finisher this week got all the wins right and cracked the top 7 overall. The comeback story of BulaJacket continues as the one who missed the first three weeks of the season captures the Weekly Cup and moves up yet another spot to number 2. Besides getting every win right he bet an average of 46 on the draws. Clinical, textbook stuff. 2nd place goes to administrator +10, whose critical late addition of Beckenbaur paved the way to glory. Significantly further back in 3rd is BenC1357, who finished over 4 points out of second and showed none of the style and panache that makes administrator the idol of billions. An unbeaten week and I still don't make the top five in the Weekly Cup or get promoted?? This vexes me... I am terribly vexed. Well, onto the hottest unofficial award in the WPL (ok, maybe not the hottest, but it is an award, and believe me, it's quite unofficial). A large number of people got the 4 wins correctly - it was how much you bet on the 5 draws that determined whether you moved up in the world or if you, as the French would say, screwed le pooch. However, there wasn't a whole lot of proximity in the standings to create a lot of IK that way, so this week, we only have 5 participants, but they are a veritable Who's Who of the WPL. Alas, for this week's "winner" of the "MLS & USSF Team Up Against Scoring" edition of the Inverse Karma Award, the victory is certainly bittersweet. As dred noted, good ol' jlo gets a wonderful perf, but due to BulaJacket's rocket ride, jlo moves down a spot in the standings, thus earning him this award.
