How hard should the ball be? Pumped to the limit? I pumped my so hard it almost exploded (well, ok not that hard) and now I hurt my hip when kicking it (I guess I kicked it the wrong way by accident), but it bounces very well when you throw it on the ground. Any ideas?

Generally the ball will say how much it's supposed to be pumped (usually it says it near where the needle is suppose to go in). You can measure it with a pressure guage.

In High school my coach would pump the game balls up slightly more than they should have been. Made the ball harder and move faster. We praticed with hard balls as well. Idea being it gave us an advantange when we played at home. Unless the ref noticed the ball was over pumped and let air out.

By 13 PSI, you're already pushing it, I think...try to keep it at 10 PSI if possible.
