Well, if you'd bothered to read up a few posts you would've noticed that when i first posed the question i said that it was all pointless speculation. Its just a bit of recreational pontificating, if you will.

    ...about torrado...

...i know many dont like torrado, but he gives his hearth on the field...he had a great game on the game against angola but again many of our players did not finish his follow up plays...go back and watch that game please, dont be so hard on this guy...he is one of the few on this team who got huevos...i just hope he does not lose it on this game because he is hot headed sometimes...

Afura Mendez y Pineda. Both of them haven't even come close to scoring and they really don't cross the ball with enough precision to merit being in these games. Mexico has played along the sides for years and they haven't at all in the World Cup. Bring in Ramoncito to start(create options on the left and for set pieces) and Guardado off the bench to relieve him and create havoc. Gringo on the right at least runs the length of the field and can keep the Argies left busy. Mendez to me has just played lazy. 3 games is enough to prove yourself and man do we miss Carmona.

    Re: ...about torrado...

I agree about Torrado. He gives us an enforcer type in the mid that we need against the Argies. They like to play a bit on the dirty side and he should keep them in check.

entrevista de fox sport noticias (argentina) a lavolpe

    entrevistador:

Not sure if Borgetti is going to get some run here, and I think his size would be a needed edge, but I just don't see Mexico being able to stay w/ the Arg's in this one. Mexico has played them tight in the past, but the Arg's might be a team of destiny as some seem to believe. Agr 3 el Tri 1.

    No muerdas!
Argentina & Spain, are with little doubt, the best teams of the tournament so far. But, if we get everything in the right place we can beat them. Here is to hoping it all comes together!

This is great for the national team so far, I wanted the team not to flourish the 1st round so we could unjix the past history. Mexico can suddenly flourish from now on all depending if Latrope for once uses his right tools. Let's remember the knock out phases is a complete fresh new tournament anything can happen. I remember many people were giving Brazil a hard time last year in Cofederations Cup and they reversed it completely in the knock out phases. Attention Im in no way comparing Mexico and Brazil at all, but past history especially in WC have proven underdog teams in first round have progressed tremendously and swtiched it around in the crucial stages.

I am nervous and confident when you look at what Mexican clubs have done against Argentinian clubs you feel confident when you look at what their national team did in the World Cup you shake.

I believe that the differance will be the inclusion of Castro, Ramoncito, and Guardado. But moreso Guardado.

    I would Like to see

    Borgetti Franco

    Ramoncito Zinha Bravo
    Guardado Castro

    Salcido Marquez Osorio

    Oswaldo

...i am not sure if franco would be able to handle the pressure in this game...after all that has been said in regards to his performance so far in this tourney...so far, he has given one assist and was ok against angola, at least, the best game from his so far (which was not great either cuz he missed two clear opportunities but so did bravo, kikin, and our wings, sinha and pardo played like shit)...

    ...possible starters, so they say...

...i was watching the news and its seems otra vez un pinche 5-3-2, pero again con mendez!!!!wtf!!!...then zinha seems to be injured, wtf!!!! and borgetti with no play time on last two games may start (can he last 90"?)...then to ******** things up more maybe kikin wont play and bravo would...hope none of this is true......if it is so, prepare either for mexico's best game ever, or the whoopazzz of our lives...

Where did you hear this? Can anyone confirm this? At mediotiempo.com, I heard that Torrado was playing alongside Pardo, Mendez was on the right wing, and Ramoncito was going to be starting on the left.

Where did you hear that? I read on El Universal that the only player who has a minor injury is Sanchez, who reportedly has a swollen hand but that it wouldn't get in the way of his ability to perform on Saturday.

Well, the thing about Sánchez is true, as it was confirmed by the teams doctor, José Luis Serrano.
