2. The dumbass ref making a absolutley stupid call to screw US soccer just like the ref against Italy. This yr refs really screwed us.

What a post.... shows your maturity. Instead of you getting mad at your own team for losing 3-0, tying then not even tying up the score in the third game, you bash the team who beat you. What were they suppose to come out and lose?

 

How was Beasley disappointing today? He made some very nice plays including that great pass leading to our only goal. I agree that DeMarcus didn't do much in the first 2 games, but today he played to his level, and with more heart than some of our other so-called stars.

 

Especially since Eddie Pope would've been back on the field.

That's true. That was mainly his fault, but the ref still can't keep blowing calls like that in the box.

Did this years ref's also cause our 3-0 humiliation at the hands of the czech's? Did this years ref's also cause us to score 1 measly goal off an american boot? Stop making excuses, and realize we were simply outclassed this world cup. I agree with the hiring of an established dutch coach to put our players in an actual position to win a game. IE: 4-4-2.

 

I keep hearing things like this and its actually really starting to get on my nerves. I agree that the average American doesn't know a great deal about the game, but most of the American fans who post here are actually pretty knowlegdable. If we over estimated our team than we are guilty of the same sin that most nations are guilty of, but I'm sick of hearing that because we had hopes of advancing from a tough group we were overconfident jerks. Thats an obnoxious accusation.
