one piece of logic - early goal changes everything. That's the primary lesson here

Ghana is playing extremely well - if the US thinks this would be a guaranteed 3 points, they are crazy.

The US needs to play with the same determination, agressiveness and willingness to leave it all on the field, if they have any hope against Italy.

But if we lose we'll have to beat Ghana by 4 or 5 goals. So lets not lose.

let's get 3 vs Italy first. And make that match meaningful.

And JP is wrong. a loss mathematically eliminates us

What i'm saying (for the 3rd time) is that Ghana is OUTPLAYING the Czech's. They passed better, they defended better, they played with more energy, and were superior to the Czech's at every turn. The same thing happened to us, at the hands of this same Czech team. We never got to show our strengths because they played better, maaaaaaannnnnnnnnn.

It's funny how people constantly want to find reason to make the US loss seem better than it actually was. Get over it. We were outplayed by the Czech's and the Czech's are now being outplayed by Ghana.

The only thing you are right about is that it's a completely different match. The reason it is, is because Ghana has played superior to the US. Period. Stop making excuses for us.

this shows some of the unluckiness of the first US game. the czechs age has caught up with them some - they looked slower today, and it probably was unfortunate to play the czechs in the opening match. also, of course, a different czech team without koller.

also, for all the talk of the czechs victory, they finished all of their opportunities. today, they've had some, but haven't put them away, and certainly didn't come up with a monster like rossicky's 30+ yarder. the US played them on a day where they finished at a phenomenal rate.
