I wonder if this will make Donovan consider a move to Europe. Clearly his "we can play with anyone in the world" theory has just been publicly blown out of the f***ing water.

I'll say it.... This is even worse than our 1998 game against Germany.

And at this point, he would........for he wants to play in Europe. Somebody's watching from a European club I'm sure.

two things I am not understanding
    1. No speed or urgency in the play?
    2. Long balls againstg a team that is taller and plays long ball?

We absolutely, positively have to score first vs. Italy. If they go ahead 1-0 we're done.

This team cannot play from behind against this type of competition.

I've been on Univision for quite a while now. You should try it, it will save your "cringe" muscles.

We can't have another France '98. It'll hurt soccer in this country and once again place it behind the other mainstream sports.

WHY IS BEASE ON THE ********ING RIGHT SIDE?!?!?!?!?!

Take him off. Or take of Convey and move Bease to the left.
Put Clint on the right.... thats why he's here.

If they do not make it out of the group, soccer will be back to 1998 with the mainstream media, I promise you. The media does not control player development, but it does control the exposure of players to the game before they can be developed. The mainstream media does not care how great the group is or know that Brazil went out in the group stage in 1966, etc.

You know who could help the cause on the current roster? Ben Olsen.

It seems like this team knows it can't come from behind against these guys. I think they could use Olsen's attitude right now.
