I hate this. I hate hearing we got 'surprised'. Wow, Ecuador came out of nowhere there. Just like South Korea.
No, actually we played like shit, and were lucky it wasn't more.
It just drags all your faith away, leaves you with nothing. Every damn time were expected to win, we ******** up something. Can't we just have one competition where were not ********ing humiliated?
Now were back to being the joke again. Fantastastic.

I feel shell shocked, all this time waiting and getting pumped up and then just pure dissappointment. The team needs a sports psychologist. Its obvious they can't deal with the pressure. 4 years ago and now. Everytime we fall behind first we lose, and look totally panicked.

It's going to take a lot of effort to pull something off against Germany.
They are pumped up after a win, and know that winning this game will see them through. Poland desperatley need something out of this game, and have immense pressure on them.

I think our best hope is a Costa Rican win against Ecuador. :) It all becomes a numbers game now. Sigh.

You guys looked damn good during the qualifiers - a loss to Ecuador was the last thing I expected.

As a neutral, I'll say that the score wasn't at all indicative of how the game went. Yes, Poland played very poorly, but I don't feel Ecuador really proved themselves worthy of a win.

    PLEASE!!!!

the back 4 were flawless, absolutely flawless!

the polish "size/physical" advantage was non-existent.

they thought there were gonna walk all over us, that they could tic-tac-toe there 5 goals in and we would just sit there and watch.

we played better, thats a fact, hell, the match stats PROVE that we did.
but even more important, the FINAL SCORE says that we did!

    VAMOS ECUADOR!!!

Ecuador played well after a lucky goal they push 10 men behind the ball what a gr8t game. Saying that Poland were to crap to score

Ecuador proved zero nothing in this game besides it can defend for a result

Whatever, they won, they can talk.

I still think we can get a favourable result against the krauts.

Dudek? what for? Boruc didn't really make any mistakes. they were made by the defence and he was left with no chance

dudek is a better shot stopper and he distributed the ball better

The biggest problem was that they didnt give a f... . They just stood around like a bunch of snowmen. No one got open, no one made runs down the wings. They just stood there and expected to win. At least Jelen showed some promise. Most of these super "benchwarmers" should be ashamed. I am very dissapointed with this performance, or lack of it, but what really angers me is the fact that they didnt care, I didnt see the will to win. If you dont have the drive then you have no business in this tournament. T&T proved today that effort and heart can accomplish a lot in the WC. We proved yesterday that standing around and waiting for things to happen instead of making things happen is a guaranteed way to get bounced early from the tourney.
I still hold out hope that this team of "allstars" will wake up and fight in the 2 remaining group games. If they go out there and really try , and I mean no BS try, then we can still recover from this, and even if not at least we will be able to be proud of the effort.

    Well said.
What really gets me, is that they did not play like a well-gelled team. In fact they did not play like a team at all. You look at these 'under-dogs' like T&T, or even Ivory Coast or Costa Rica - at least they showed some fighting spirit. We didn't start really giving it everything until the last 10 minutes or so. I just wish we could show that we are not completley shit, that we won't bottle at every World Cup, but rather actually show some Polish spirit on the pitch.

janas is a freaking retard, it's quite obvious.... he should just resign now before he gets killed by the polish fans in germany! We need Frankowski for zurawski to click and score

for Janas to change the formation from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 in the last days before the WC just shows that he has no confidence in his players or team

if from the forwards he took to Germany he could not find two strikers to start in the usual formation, it just goes to show you that he took the wrong forwards!!

we don't have the players to play in the new formation and Zurawski needs some one up front with him

play Rasiak or Jelen or Brozek or Smolarek along with Zurawski, play someone

Engel got us back to the WC and once there, we choked and Engel from hero became the villan

Janas contiued the good spell of qualifying for the WC, but once again, once in the WC he has show a complete lack of condifence

maybe this drastic change of form from the qualifiers to the WC is down to something else, but as Janas said after he picked 'his' team: 'its my responsibility'

Seriously, this is right on but the sad part is that these sons of viatches never give the effort and heart of far less talented nations. Funny you mention T&T. I was at both games and the differnce in play was stunning. T&T busted their asses all over. We stood around and watched.

boruc did ******** up. the 1st goal, that shit was saveable it wasnt dangerous..but he stuffed his ass with food he is 10 pounds heavier than he was during th qualifiers so he cant jump or dive like he used to..dudek would of got that he is know for his reflex, if that goal didnt happen we would probably win.
if you're losin in the WC idk why the hell you would bother doing a 4-5-1 janas jest taki dupek ze huj. zurawski couldnt do squat because he was by himself. krzynowek and smolarek were the only ones trying to do something. then brozek and jelen almost scored.. and we werent going to the ball we were waiting for the ball to come to us or we freakin ran away from it. worst game that i ahve seen in a while. janas is getting jumped in germany not when he comes back to warszawa

    hello to all....
i must disagree - Boruc was not the culprit in the 1st goal....Jop should have stopped staring at his feet and challenged the Equadorian...

anything is possible...lets not lose hope....if the Greeks could beat Portugal in Portugal in Euro 2004....we can beat the Gerries...provided Janas lays off the bottle when picks the formation this time...

    not sure karny....
just listened to the press conference...Janas sounds like a drunk gump...
according to certain reports...zurawski might play in cmf in place of szymek...

really hoping that poldi and klose piss themselves from fear, lehmann's knee is hurting but refuses to leave the pitch, and ballack is not 100%....

some of us have been hoping before that Zuraw plays a bit deeper with Smolarek and I guess now Jelen up front. But then what formation do we play? Who else is in the midfield, if, as they said both Radomski and Sobol will be playing DMs? Do we give up on wing play? I don't know what they hell they're thinking, sounds like the team is drowning and grasping for straws, to be honest.

I personally think Janas is unbelievably confused at the moment as to what to do...Everyone is coming at him from different angles, and he's no longer thinking about choosing the team he wants, he just doesnt want to get killed. That's why we're hearing all this different stuff.

I really don't know what to say about Zurawski playing in Szymek's place, I mean, sure he comes back there anyways, but I sitll think we need Szymek against the Germans..

Get Radomski out of there, please, we no longer need two DM's, either way Ballack will tear them apart, I'd rather have Sobo just shadow him all game rather than have them split the duties and jsut confuse themselves.

Jelen should start, regardless of anything. He has been the most consistent player for us in all the pre-WC friendlies and training sessions...this can only boost his career.

I have a feeling that the only changes are going to be Zurawski and Smolarek up top, with Jelen playing the right wing, and Radomski on the bench. The rest should be the same. Maybe Lewandowski will start in place of Jop, but I'm not entirely sure I want that either.
