depends on whats in the MP4 file. MP4 is just a container like AVI so there could be almost anything inside. The only thing I can suggest is just try it out and see. Normally Windows Media Player should play them ok
hn~ I used Nero Recode2 to do the mp4 of the Venezuela match (if that's what you're asking about)... I believe that QuickTime, RealPlayer 10 (with plug-in), Nero Showtime, or VLC will play them without any hassles... If you want to view them in another player, (and correct me if I'm wrong) you'll have to have a splitter and a filter installed... Really though (and this is for everybody)... If you use BitTorrent for any period of time (or the internet for that matter), you will come across what will seem like some strange codecs at times, or stuff that's supposed to play, but doesn't for you... If you have any tech inkling at all, I suggest you install a good codec pack from free-codecs.com (the left hand column, third group down). I recommend one of the K-Lite Packs. The Cole2K or XP Codec Packs are current as well... The K-Lite Mega Codec Pack has some very useful tools in it as well, and it's still being updated. It's also strongly suggested that you uninstall all of the codecs from your system before you install one of these...but if you do it right, you'll never have another problem. (at least until MPEG-5 comes out ) ps~ FYI, the Latvia match is over 95% now, and I'll have another seeder soon, so for those of you who still want to download it (including those who left in the middle), this would be the perfect time to hop on. I'll be unblocking leechers momentarily.
Could someone please seed http://torrents.huntparkinsider.com/stats.html?info_hash=c2e57f0c624d4b7ca984dfd86eb99f67b2541878 this game for me. Pretty Please
Two soccer shows on ABC this weekend Is anyone planning to cap these shows this weekend? I know I would appreciate it.....I'm sure all the other expats out there would too. Edit: I'm also curious to know if anyone is planning to cap the World Cup Live shows during the WC. (Here's the schedule) I recorded every episode of the World Cup 2night shows and even every episode of Ticket to Asia on FSW as well as all 64 WC matches in 2002 . I recorded all 64 matches and all World Cup 2night episodes in 1998 too. Unfortunately, I won't be in the US to do it again this year.
Thanks for the tip... I've already set the DVR for both. While I was checking out the listings, I saw something on FSC called "Arena Soccer: Bruce Arena" ...Just started... I don't know if it's akin to that now BS-famous interview program...but if it's interesting, I'll catch that as well... Any of these 3 shows that doesn't get a cap up right away from either here or MaXxed, I'll do an mp4 of. ps~ Still undecided on the WC releases. Unless there're enough requests for the full version, I may be just Shrinking the files to DVD-5 and releasing a TS folder of that instead. pps~ I still have that TnT @ USA ~WCQ ready to go, if there's anyone that wants that (to fill in the 'collection' )... If so, I'd like to get that upped asap. ... YiS
Ok, seems that I've got access back to the tracker. Thank you Opera! Now fill me in on what I've missed! How do I do this VOB/DVD thing? I still don't know what type of DVD-R's I should buy. And what is a MP4 ?
Don't worry, I got the Top 10 show, along with the Arena interview on FSC... I'll take a peek on MaXxed, and if no one's got 'em there, I'll up them tonight.
This is a total Newbie question but I haven't found the answer in this thread. Can anyone give me a good link to setting up Azureus or Bittorrent. I have tried both and can't seem to get them configured correctly. I have looked through numerous forums but many seem to contradict each other and I can't seem to figure it out. The big issue seems to be the a famous NAT problem. I'm hoping to get this figured out before the cup starts. Thanks for any help.
Would love the WC TS folder releases...if I had my choice I would go for each half on one DVD-5!!! I would also love to get the TnT @ USA matchday 5 WCQ! Thanks
The Azureus wiki page is a good place to start. Most of your questions are answered there. If you're looking for a step-by-step guide to every single setting, I definitely recommend you do not use the one's you'll find on the forum sections of many tracker websites. They're always geared toward getting you hooked up to that particular tracker only, which means they invariably ask you to apply settings that will probably limit your ability to connect to a broader range of trackers... More germain to your case, the AzureusWiki page also includes a full explanation of NAT, and excellent instructions and full links on how to improve or fix it. (The "Help" link in Azureus itself actually leads there ) ... YiS
OK... American Soccer's 10 Greatest Moments (ABC).mp4 591 MB AND Arena Soccer- Bruce Arena ~ (FSC Interview).mp4 171 MB Both up @ HPI ... Tomorrow will be the "Drive to Germany" show, and I'll cap that too, if no one else does... Once I've got some people on those, I'll up that T&T @ USA WCQ That'll be a VIDEO_TS folder. Also, fair warning, it's from before I fixed the feed I was getting from ESPN2 (ghost lines), but apparently, it's the only game "we" missed, and the only copy around... ... YiS
I need someone out there to reseed the USA-Japan friendly from Feb 2006 I want to show it at a USA kickoff party here in Japan. Thanks!
Why is it that when I try this, Nero says that the file is too big and can't reduce the quality down to the size of a DVD? I don't understand that given the fact that the file is <4 gigs?
That's odd... Does it really say it can't? The only thing I can think of is that you're using a much older version of Nero Vision...but I think even NeroVision 2 should be able to do it. If it actually says it can't...well...that's a new one on me. Normally it just asks you if you want the size automatically reduced. Afaik...that's independent of filetype, since all it does is reduce the bitrate to the largest standard setting that will fit (SP, LP, ELP, etc...) Usually, I just click "no thanks", and manually set it myself... If you can, try this: Click on the "More >>" button at the bottom of the screen. The toolbar pops up... Click on "Video Options". Select the "DVD-Video" tab. Next to "Quality setting", select "Custom" from the dropdown. The "Bit rate" and "Resolution" options should become active. Leave the "Resolution" setting where it is...probably 720 x 480 (CCIR-601 D1)... Manually adjust the "Bit rate" down to get the total size small enough... Make sure to leave plenty of room for your menus etc... Try starting somewhere around 4800 kbit/s... If that doesn't work, I don't know how else to help you... ... YiS
I too had run into this problem at one point which is why I'd asked the question about the VIDEO_TS folder or a program that could burn the VOB when I first tried to use Nero. If you try to use the burning rom app in Nero then you will get the problem with it telling you the file is too big. However, when following the instructions posted 2 or 3 pages back and using the link for making your own dvd-video thru Nero SmartStart, it works just fine.
That's true. You have to use NeroVison (which the SmartStart link opens), and not Nero Burning Rom... Anyway... The Drive to Germany (ABC).mp4 World Cup preview show, again hosted by Alexi Lalas (co-host Eric Wynalda). Interviews with coaches, players, and journalists...looking at the progress and outlook of the USMNT. 522 MB Up @ HPI ... YiS
Recoding? My DVD burning software can't burn the Mpeg4 file format. I'm using Power Producer, I know Nero is better. Any recoding tips? Do I have to recode it to .avi? Thanks.
I just got a new CPU and the free versions of Real Player and Quicktime cannot play mp4. Is there a codec I need to download?
