yea, in fact if there were a list of the players that we will never get...these would be on the list we might get that argentenian kid, we need another winger (make it two, a left and a right) and well need another striker depending on how much santos likes/dislikes mantorras, and another CB wouldnt hurt. if we get anything else i will be pissed.
First of all Sa and Quaresma both hate Benfica... second of all tiago would never leave a "better" team to come to benfica agian.... and third of all huge clubs around the world like real madrid are looking at boa morte ... he wouldnt come to benfica... and last but not least who ever you heard this from should get kicked in the nuts
this will prevent Portuguese teams in general from making "significant" signings, players want to stay in the big leagues, where they get more exposure (and hence more $$$). you would be surprised at the many many gems lieing around though, be it disgruntled talents at various european giants (miccoli for example) or relatively unknown youngsters in south america or lower leagues.

i hate to break this to you but luisao and anderrson have already said they will stay at least another year.. and rocha.. not much of a loss because we have alcides who is orginally a CB (the only good thing koeman did was to give him time on the field) and petit wont leave unless benfica gets someone new.. and geovanni isnt a big loss. and miccoli the biggest lost for benfica.. but don't woorry about that.. benfica will sign a better striker to score on sporting next year.
