Cabo Verde is a good warmup game for Angola but it's true that we should have played some stronger teams earlier to prepare.

Anyways, here's what Scolari said about his reasons for choosing Cape verde:

"Cabo Verde porque muitos dos atletas de Angola jogam em Portugal, a maioria dos jogadores de Cabo Verde também jogam em Portugal. Cabo Verde joga num sistema semelhante a Angola. Penso que Angola está numa situação melhor do que Cabo Verde, mas há algo semelhante àquilo que vamos enfrentar"

Nuno Valente won't be playing because of a death in the family. I think Boa Morte and Nuno Gomes are out too.

Hopefully we'll do well when it counts. Not just talk talk talk and talk like a certain other team...

About your sig, I'm sure some of us would be dying to get sigs like that, but we can't find any pictures of Iran in a tournament.

    5-1 against angola? lolll..

we once had a score like that against angola, long story short they tried to kill us and ended up getting most of their team sent off. if u value your players i would suggest to hope for a 1-0 at best

Re: Portugal vs Cabo Verde Friendly [R]

game ended with 7 players from Angola and then another Angolan got sent off...thus, by FIFA rules, the game had to be abandoned...that was the only game I ever watched that was abandoned for the 7 player rule

but yes alireza, I understand the jest in your sig...but I'm sure you hope it happens by the same token...good luck to Iran...but not too much luck

Seriously now, I think Scolari is going with the old and faithfull.
If Costinha had a good practice week, this is how will see things.

    1st Half

    Ricardo
    PF, RC, Meira, NV
    Costinha, Petit
    Figo, Deco, CR
    Pauleta

    2nd

    Quim
    Miguel, RC, Meira, PF
    Petit, Tiago
    CR, Deco, Simao
    Pauleta

My God, am I a loser or what? I was thinking Alentejo but writing Algarve (probably because I was hoping for nice weather here in T.O.). Thanks for the correction, guys...
