several people have asked me about this, so here is the official info on the first of YA's parties (Kaiserslautern) http://www.yanks-abroad.com/content.php?mode=rwb4
Anyone going by to Frankfurt after the US-Italy game. I and 3 others are on a 1:05 AM train because the prior one leaves at 11:06 PM (obviously does not work with the game just ending at the time). Looking for a place to drink in celebration of our victory after the game. Will people be going back to the Brauhaus am Markt?
and one. Still looking for a place to stay- a motel, a hostel, a campground, a closet so I don't have to hop on a train, hungover, in the middle of the night.
I am so in -- and I'm bringing my cousin who is a fan of Italy -- hopefully he makes it out alive (if not, oh well). Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it on Friday night as I will be in Stuttgart watching the Holland match . . .
Hey - me too! See ya at both games, I guess. Red, White, and Brew sounds fun - I'm looking forward to it.
I may be there on Friday. Don't have any accomodations for the night, but I may find a nice train to crash in.
Of course, I realize that jamison was just winking and that I'm not supposed to laugh at this, but what a classic line. I feel bad for laughing out loud. Repped accordingly.
Thanks man. (note: and I should clear this up in case anyone wasn't in that thread, that was a jestful comment related to a thread about sitting/standing at World Cup matches and medical situations, not to suggest that there would be any indecency on the part of Mrs. L).
if you just want a roof over your head and a bed, check out the Fan Camp http://www.kaiserslautern.de/wm2006/gastgeber/hotels/fancamp/index.html?lang=en i'm thinking about doing this on friday night.
No, no, no, you see...it's like a road trip; there are man rules that apply to this. If you're in a different zip code, let alone country, it doesn't count against you Just kidding. Congrats!
At around 2:50 AM. I am sure the train will be full of fans in the same situation, so we just carry the party on to the train. I am thinking an extra long victory celebration.
