Outstanding. His recovery has been incredible every step of the way. Every nurse/doctor/etc has been stunned at how quickly he has progressed. Apparently the optimum lifestyle for recovering from life-threatening injuries is sitting on the couch and drinking beer.

BB Lee Returns Right, back from the dead, and thought it only right to thank all of you for your support, cards, DVDs, etc, etc - at least i didn't have to hide all the porn that was promised (for future reference, it's not much use when you're unconcious ). For a summary of what happened read on, otherwise thanks to you all, and i look forward to getting back to the tailgate/games in a couple of months. Summary: had a head on with a ford F150 on 12 march up in vermont on way to vacation. Hospital had me down as DNR for the first 4 days, whilst they removed 40% of my liver (don't fret, it grows back !), my gall bladder and did various things to some of the arteries below my heart that were also damged. My girlfriend (now fiancee !!) came out of it with a cracked sternum and 3 broken ribs. The guy who hit us had a sore ankle, bless him. Once they had me up and running again i caught MRSA, which also nearly killed me. Luckily they decided to leave my right leg where it was, i now have a titanium rod from hip to knee, with a six inch gap in the middle with bone all over the place - will take a good few months before i'm off the crutches. After aboth 3 1/2 weeks they started to redure the meds to bring me round and take me off the tubes and machines. Removed the tracheotemy (tube in throat to eat and breath) after about 4 weeks, and started to talk again. Then moved down to DC for rehab, pending plastic surgery on my belly (they've left my stomach muscles, etc unattached to allow all the swelling to go down, an filled the gap with some mesh. once the fleash grew thru that they did the skin graft). That went well, so back to rehab for a week. Back at home now for the forseeable future, will need another operation in a 3-6 months to sew up by belly, but should hopefully be good as new (with a few new scars by the end of the year.
