This doesn't really surprise me, because you could then just post the URL on Bigsoccer or email it to friends. Still, I wish there were a way to use VLC, because it works perfectly for me while WMP is very choppy. Anybody know of another way, or perhaps advice on the which WMP settings work best?

Pisses me off that I pay 20 bucks. Then, the FCD game isn't on the video yesterday and they want to charge me MORE money to listen to the audio. I know they might technically be different services, but jeez, how chintzy.

the NHL offers free audio streaming all season long, but, MLS charges their small fanbase to listen in online?

There were two free internet audio sources for that game.

For me, the package is godsend. OK, not all the games are there in full, and I don't watch live, but the archived files I've seen have been just fine. Worth £12 for a season anaway.

Beats the hell out of getting up at 5am to watch extended highlights of one game a week because my ****ing VCR won't pick up Five TV.

Mind you, what was I doing at 5am today? Watching a game I'd already seen ...

His point still stands. You shouldn't *really* have to pay separate prices for both offers if a package deal is viable. I'd have thought that $20 for both vid & aud would be plenty considering the amount of takers so far FWIH...

Okay, I've seen 2 Brits post in this thread. Do we really have MLS fans in the UK? Frankly, 2 fans is 2 more than I thought we had across the pond.

When there ain't a major tournament, 3 months of offseason is an awful long time. Plus, unlike in the States football is our national sport by a country mile, so that void can feel a lot longer, whereas from November to April isn't that long on your side considering there's the NFL (NBA and NHL, too?) to tide you over... The more you love the sport, the more no action can get to you

I first started watching MLS games about a couple of years ago and I've enjoyed watching several matches when I get time. I flirted with both Columbo and Dallas in terms of a side to pick, but I've settled on Houston at the mo (not wanting to either sound like a gloryhogger or to offend many displaced Quakes fans)

Here's a screen grab of the video quality. It's a jpeg but it's high quality so there's been no further degradation of the image. Compare this to the image they use on their site. Ha! Don't forget that you can also buy a 24 hour pass for $3.95. Thank god I can watch the Direct Kick package instead.

This service has done nothing to impress me thus far...I'm sick of watching games for the second half only or not at all. This is a letter I've just sent them:

    To whom it may concern,

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of your service. It is sad to think that I have paid $19.95 when I am to not watch games in their entirety promised in the agreed contract. This would be reasonable if it happened once or twice. However, this has happened repeatedly since the service began.

Secondly, it is expected that the quality of your customer service department would be high for a subscription service. This has not proven to be the case. At the very least you could provide free audio to the games that you have failed to show to your video subscribers.

Also, it seems that you fail to provide an explanation in the form of a simple e-mail for your delay or failure to show games to your subscribers. Considering this is what something I am paying for, I feel cheated by the lack of professionalism.

Furthermore, if this continues to be a problem I will be forced to consider this breach of contract and expect the refund of my payment in full.

    Sincerely,

I haven't tried to watch every game, but the ones I have chosen to watch have been fine. I have no complaints.
