The silly season doesn't start until May 18th, after we do our best in Paris to bring home the European Cup. But, we will need to concentrate on making into the group stage of the CL by beating whoever we're drawn against in the 3rd round. It won't be easy. Remember, Everton drew Villareal, although we'll be a higher seed so I don't think we'll draw as tough of a team.

You're right. we can't overlook cl qualifying. It won't be as easy as some people think, especially if our away form is as bad next year as it was this year.

If we win on the 17th we skip qualifying and go directly to the group stages.

That metallic gray they wear with the yellow shirt on the away kit. It just isn't Arsenal.

The grey trim on the current away shirt.

Agree it should be blue. I'm generally a follower of the KISS (keep it simple, stupid) principle for football shirts.

but don't they go for the switch the away kit every two years policy? This is only the first year.

Hence the 2006-2007 away kit will be the current away kit.

According to the club charter, we'll be using the current away kit for one more season.

Good point about the sponsors, though. We'll see.

As for the new home shirt, it's already been leaked. Do a search - we've had a couple recent (last few weeks) threads on this.

    There we go!:

    Q. Will we have three new kits next year when the sponsor changes?

    A. The Club's charter states 'Replica strip designs have a minimum lifespan of two seasons. A new change kit will be released every year, whereby it will be the first choice change strip in year one of the lifespan and the second choice change strip in year two. In the event of a change of Club sponsor, the new sponsor's name may appear on a replica strip within its lifespan'. However, as agreed at our fans forum, the 'redcurrant' commemorative kit will only be used during this farewell season at Highbury. It will then be replaced by a design which reverts to the more contemporary red shirt / white sleeves look.

This will be used during seasons 2006/2007 and 2007/2008. As a direct result of the commemorative strip only being used for one full season, the Club will be reversing the trend for the existing yellow away strip so it will be the first choice away strip for two full seasons (2005/2006 and 2006/2007). The sponsor will change on this during 2006/2007. The same applies to the second choice change blue kit, which will remain as the second choice change kit throughout season 2006/2007, albeit with a different sponsor.

Oh yeah, the third choice kit... I forgot about that one. :) I don't think we wore it at all this year, apart from preseason. Boreham Wood on 10 August was the last one I found online.
