I'm sure we will all be able to buy it from Arsenal.com over the summer.;)

Anyway, very sad, but happy for the future. What a way to end the time at Highbury.

That was a grandstand finish to our year in transition. Thank you West Ham.

    Happy St. Totteringham's Day!

Let's also not forget to tip the staff at the Marriot West India Quay in London for all their efforts to make this a memorable afternoon...

    :D

For a while I wondered which would be more enjoyable:

    1) Having sp*rz take fourth, thinking they're gonna be in CL next season, then snatching it away from them by winning it this season (sacrificing finishing above them and celebrating St. Totteringham's Day).

    or

    2) Going down to the end of the season in fifth then snatching fourth at the last minute.

Of course, my answer is #2.

Celebrating the last match at Highbury.
Celebrating St. Totteringham's Day at the last match at Highbury.
    DB10's last match.
Thierry picking up a hattrick and Golden Boot,
    sp*rz getting food poisoning.
sp*rz losing to a goal from an Israeli...

You just can't script this stuff.

No kidding!! If you wrote a script like that, they wouldn't buy it because it was too fantastic!!

And it is too fantastic!! :D

Have to give it to Wigan tho, they werent going down without a fight. Just were unlucky to be playing the might Arsenal and to be a victim of a Thierry Henry hat trick.

Just by the way... I thought it was great that Uriah "kung fu" Rennie was the referee for this final match. Of all the crap refs we've had that might have hosed us in a match or two in the past, he's the one I have the least animosity towards, and I'd have actually picked him for it myself.

Not saying he was our 12th man today, but still... I think even HE'S probably still there lingering with the fans.

And to their supporters, whose blue added a nice touch to the spectacle of red and white, and stuck around for the entire triumphant salute.

Well played to Wigan. As much as I hate that blockhead Paul Jewell, they deserved to be in the Carling Cup final and where they ended up in the league. They actually produced some good football this season.

I'm ashamed that I didn't know the exact meaning of St. Totteringham's Day until now. But what a day! Here's the wikipedia link for anyone who'd like to share in the knowledge of what we achieved over the dirty, smelly Scum:

I got food poisoning the night we celebrated booking our trip to Paris a couple weeks ago. I had French wine to mark the occasion, but I think it was some bad turkey. I was bed-ridden for 24 hrs. It happens to the best of us... just fell on the wrong day for those Spurs. Ha! Maybe it was the banished South Park Chef... he's a Gunner you know.

I managed to get food poisoning an hour before I left Taiwan for the last time with seven pieces of luggage, had 24 consecutive hours of travel on Northworst, two layovers, and still was able to drink a Jack and Coke on the last leg, eat Chinese food for dinner (ironically) and watch a bowl game that night.

I feel no sympathy for them.

First of all Happy Saint Totteringham's Day to you all. What a day. I'm absolutely extatic that we finished fourth and got the last Champions League spot. I really thought we wouldn't do it as some of you guys know but we did so ********ing yes.

Im also pissed and gutted. Pissed because I went to the pub to see the Arsenal game knowing it was on Sky Sports 3 but not knowing the Man U game was on got to the pub and there was a Man U fan there watching the Man U game so I didn't get to see any of the game and the after party. Can someone help me out with a recording or something please I need one asap.

I'm lucky though I'm going to the stadium to collect my turf so I will see it for one last time I may even true and get a seat from the arsenal auction site if I can.

    Someone help me out please.

i posted this in another thread but its prob better in this one....

it was like the results today were written in the stars. i was watching the game nearby highbury and what an atmosphere, all the sp*rs songs were being sung and we was all enjoying the occasion's regardless of the scores. but when the hammers got the goal for the 2-1 everyone was going absolutly mental, what a feeling. i cant describe the buzz and the atmosphere on the streets around highbury and in the pubs, it was magical. and it was fitting that henry should sign off with a hatrick
    what a day

OOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooohhhhhh....WE HATE TOTTENHAM AND WE HATE TOTTENHAM,,WE HATE TOTTENHAM AND WE HATE TOTTENHAM, WE HATE TOTTENHAM AND WE HATE TOTTENHAM..WE ARE THE TOTTENHAM, HATERS!

Obviously I'm not an Arsenal fan, but even I almost had tears of joy after that! It was incredibly beautiful. The whole match atmosphere was incredible and Arsenal played in their beautiful attacking style.

If TH goes... well it was almost like he was saying goobye to the club at the same time, in a truely class way. Thoughts came to me of "maybe he will come back in a few years to finish out his career :D ". One match left.
