NOTE TO FORSELL aka MR. @ssFACE:
DON'T EVER TOUCH OUR BELOVED JENS!!!

Nice to see Reyes come off the bench and get some goals. I know his ego really needs that boost. TH14 pass to Freddie was just sick and FL8 finishing with his weaker foot was cool.

    Nice team win.

    I love seeing silent Mancs.

It does matter to an extent. I was reading an article about Eddie Pope in which he speaks on those sort of dynamics. He essentially said that chemistry counts for a lot. Whether conscious or not, it effects how hard people work for one another. Perhaps they are good together, but they would sub-consciously work harder for one another if they both got along and had good chemistry. Often that extra run, effort, back tracking to help another out is the difference in the game. At the highest level, those minute details will make a difference. Teams with better chemistry play better than those without. For instance, notice Henry's body language when other players mess up compared to when Reyes messes up. Granted he does hold onto the ball at times longer than he should, but others have been guilty of the same. That's one of the instances where I feel as if his lack of relationship with Reyes is on display.

David Pleat I think right? Why do we always have to endure his crap? Sorry but Pleat has lost the Pleeot.

I rather like Stewart Pierce though

i didnt check the score until the 5pm showing. That might be the longest ive ever held out. It was worth it, to see Freddie score his first in the Prem. and JAR finish some sweet balls was awesome. Sunday is going to be good.

Well, we agree as to when it matters. I'm just not sold on this whole "they don't like each other" bit or even if they don't that there is a noticeable effect on the team's play as a result.

I've just seen this type of debate get stretched to the point where people believe they can decipher the relationship between two people based on a Zapruder-ish frame-by-frame analysis of some post-goal celebration to then conclude that because Henry hugged Reyes 1.3 seconds less than he hugged Eboue it is indisputable proof that Henry hates Reyes's guts.

It's "Squeaky bum time" as Rednose would put it. Going to be soooo tense on sunday now.

Cole got 90 mins under his belt, but didn't have the normal up and down the wings runs that are his norm. That'll come. Campbell did very well overall, but I still worry about our frailty against crosses that we had in the 1st half of the season.

Fabregas coming on for Song showed exactly how good he is and how poor Song is. Song is enthusiastic, but he is JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH. If Diaby is out for 9 months we need to buy a tall CM

Ref was on our side. Lehmann got lucky not to get spotted for standing on Vassels foot. Only saw it this morning when I watched the recording. I don't mind his shouting and posturing but he'll get caught out for stuff like that.

Really good to see Freddie and Reyes get goals, that'll give them the confidence they need. Just need 90 mins for Cole and Campbell on sunday and we're about ready...

Here's hoping that the spuds wither under the pressure. A draw will do them no good.

I agree that it was good to see Ashley get 90 minutes and Sol is slowly coming back. He made a couple of crucial tackles yesterday. Also was close on a header from a corner.
I was definitely excited to see Freddie finally put one in the back of the net. :D He's been trying to find that ball placement all season long.
And Reyes as well-did you see the time he had to place that ball? Awesome!
Song is so frustrating to watch right now-his passing is just now up to par. Maybe it will come with a little more time but I agree that he is not showing the progress that Diaby had been.

This weekend is going to be so tense!

The announcer seemed excited either this match or the previous one that Sol was improving and becoming the rock he once was at the back for the WC. He seemed quite giddy.

Remember Wenger said that it takes an entire season just for a non-EPL player to get used to the English style of play. Give Song time and he is quite young, correct?

I think he is just 19 but I think I could have found my man yesterday better than he did! ;)

I had forgotten (until I saw it this morning) that he's converted from left-back, just this year. It certainly shows -- he doesn't seem to have a clue in central-mid.

Ideally he would have been learning the new position with the reserves. Doesn't seem like that has helped, I know he missed a lot of time due to injuries, but he still looks clueless.

It's questions like these where I have to shrug my shoulders and repeat: "Arsene knows." But this is one case where my faith is really tested.

Song is one of the best passers in the reserves.

Judging by his reserve performances compared to the first team he is probably just nervous (as is understandable), the most important thing is that he was better last night then against sunderland and he was better against sunderland then against Portsmouth.

Not every youngster can have a huge instant impact, particularly a defensive midfielder like Song. His improvement from game to game is good enough and he definitely has more to offer.

He was better against Sunderland than Portsmouth because Sunderland were sooooo poor it made him look good.... Sorry! average. He wasn't good last night, he stopped 3/4 of our attacking moves.
Whether he's nervous or not he's just not good enough to be at Arsenal. I've seen him twice for the reserves and he was rubbish in both games.

If Song was soooo bad last night, how was Gilberto? Afterall he made just as many bad passes and a few less tackles.

Good game last night. I've took the positives out of the game from a City point of view and it might actually turn out better that we lost - the City chairman is apparently going to give Pearce more money to spend in the summer because he thinks the club are in 'crisis', so the defeat might help us for next season.

Good luck in the Champions League final.

ive got to admit, song has looked shocking so far, but, i also dont remember young cesc fabregas getting many props after his first couple of games. now im by no stretch of the imagination saying that song could be as good as him, im just saying give him time, the boss has obviously seen somthing we havnt so far, other wise he wouldnt be playing

Reyes scored a sweet brace yesterday. I was just randomly flipping through the channels and got to see the second half of this game. Pretty exciting stuff and Reyes' two goals capped off what I thought was a solid performance from Arsenal.

PS: good luck in the CL final guys, by the way anyone here going?
