This seems crazy. I go on there and use my dad's info since I already have a TST. Of course I use my own credit card. Who knows if I will get anything....

Loads of GREEN again now on conditional tickets!

Weird and unexpected - not sure if this is good or bad - could be loads more returns expected or could just be greed on FIFA's part?

Have just spoken to FIFA customer services - apparently the changes are down to 2 reasons:

    1) They are getting updated information on a daily basis regarding likely returns.

    2) They have had a large number of conditional ticket orders cancelled - they believe that many people did not understand the concept and thought they were applying for 'real' tickets.

Did you ask them when they will start the distribution of the conditional tickets ? ;)

No, but on their website it says allocation phase will start 5th May and end 36 hours prior to each match. Tickets will be allocated as and when received in this period.

Not sure if I am getting unreasonably excited here, but I've just spoken to ticket sales customer services on 49 18 05 64 62 64:

    I had two specific questions:

Q1: "I applied for tix at the beginning of his round of conditional ticket sales on Monday. What are the chances of getting the tix I asked for"
A: "Very good". She offered the following explanation: Priority goes to people who applied in the last round of conditional ticket sales, but the fact remains that they have only allowed as many conditional orders as they expect to have returned. In truth, they might get fewer returns, they might get more, but from their estimates they say that if you've applied for tix, then the chances of a ticket are very good.

Q2: "Can I apply for phase V tix if I have already applied through the conditional tix programme?
A: "No problem". Go for it. If you are successful in the phase V application for any match, then that match will be automatically deducted from your conditional sales application.

I am now officially (and perhaps naiively) excited about my prospects of getting TOP NOTCH tix. :D

    Someone please help me.

As I understand it, no matter how many games I requested in this conditional ticket phase, the most I will get is just one game. Correct? The first one they allocate to me is it. Correct? Then that's it. Correct?

Also, what time in the US (eastern) does this next phase start on May 1

    Simster I'm not so sure!

Theoretically each game has to be over subscribed by at least x 7 if FIFA are to ensure they reach their goal of having full stadiums for each game.

This is because FIFA allow you to apply for 7 games in the conditional phase - but you are only able to receive a maximum of 1 game.

    Example:

Eng v Swe, Eng v T&T, Eng v Par, R16, QF, SF, Final

Lets say FIFA expect 1,000 returned tickets for each of these 7 games

They therefore only allow 1,000 conditional ticket applications for each game.

However all of the 1,000 applications for Eng v Swe also have the other 6 games on - therefore all games would appear as sold out on FIFA site.

In this situation FIFA actually have 7,000 tickets but only 1,000 eligible applications.

    The solution for FIFA:

Allow applications x7 expected ticket returns.

Therefore in above situation you would have 7,000 tickets and 7,000 applications = everyone gets 1 game out of the 7 they applied for and FIFA has full stadiums.

The alternative solution is that eg. the remaining 6,000 tickets are sold off in phase 5. - possible but unlikely.

The only encouragement I can see from this phase is that FIFA are actually limiting applications in relation to the number of tickets - therefore I would suggest that if returns are as expected everyone who enters should have a minimum of 1 in 10 chance of getting a game.

I think the previous conversation was saying that they only take conditional orders for the tickets they'll think they'll get back per game not overall, meaning that if they think they'll get 1000 back for England v Paraguay, then the list for that game will be limited to 1000.

You've also assumed that everyone will have applied for 7 games. I doubt that is true. After all, nobody is going to be applying conditionally for Iran v Angola type games, just games they really want.

Of course, as ever, everybody is left guessing as FIFA's policy on such matters aren't exactly transparent.

If you have already been allocated for 3 games in sales phase 4, can I apply for 4 tickets in this conditional phase?

Or do you need to have 0 games on your name?

You can apply for up to 7 games, but the most you will be allocated is one game. Read the thread (and the rules) as this has been stated SEVERAL times here.

As long as you ;) haven't already been allocated tickets to 7 games (or any sort of TST) then you can apply in the conditional phase.

And then, the number of games you apply for in the conditional phase is completely up to you, because you will only be allocated tickets to one game, maximum, so there's no chance of you exceeding your 7-game limit.

Forgive me for not reading 13 pgs of posts as this may have already been answered, but I have applied for conditional tickets through FIFA. With this can I still try to get tickets through Phase 5 on May 1st?

    Re: Conditional tickets thread

Too much work, I guess...it's alot easier just to keep posting the exact same question that everyone else has in the same thread...and it's also too much to ask them to try reading FIFA's rules first too. Oh well, I'm sure someone will answer the question anyway.

So the deal is that the conditional tickets, which I am trying to get three pairs, one of them a round of 16 in Nurnburg, are going to be alloted AFTER the next phase of ticketing has already started?

SO basically if one can get in on Monday, then you can just cancel the conditionals. Seems pretty screwed up to me....

Try on Monday. Any tix you do get will be cancelled from your conditional order for you.

I can't see the problem myself.
