We didn't "sort of" go to the regional system...it was always a regional system and will always be a regional system. Chelsea has said so, even to those trying to start "Chelsea In America" to gain control from the regional groups.

Another question for those who care to ponder, why have "Chelsea In America" if we already have the US Blues? Isn't that redundant?

where did you get this control thing from. it's not in any previous posts. chelsea in america is not a supporters club at all. and if you go to the website you will see what it is. maybe that will work instead of blindly making accusations on a message board.

does this mean andy and i should feel threatened that chelsea in america is going to wrestle power away from the midwest blues? will i need to return my midwest blues scarf and polo back to cfc in exchange for a c.i.a. one? will beth need to give up the texas blues now?

oh my god. i heard it on the internet.

funny. all chelsea in america is, is a portal site with a message board, a map to point out which supporters club you should belong to and a new podcast. oh and some tour help. all to just have info centralized. see, in other places in the usa chelsea fans and supporter groups work together.

also, why have chelsea in america as opposed to the us blues. because every decided to keep us blues as the supporter club to be in if you weren't in a state with a cfc recognized supporter group. so people in ca and va should be in the us blues. at least until a pacific blues of ca blues is formed and recoginized by cfc. i am not a us blue, i am a midwest blue. and i go to cia as it is a fan site, to chat with my friends in texas and the midwest. sometimes wobbly posts there and we have a good chat. sometimes nicky is there. it's just an alternative board to things like big soccer where supporters can chit chat, mostly with out dregs coming in like they do here.

my guess is you haven't even looked at it to develop an opinion. otherwise we wouldn't b having this stupid internet chat as you would realize we are on the same side.

Easy now, tiger. I think there was some initial confusion from your first posts, which made it seem as though CIA was not an information clearinghouse of sorts, but rather another supporter's club here in the States.

At the end of the day, we're all Chelsea fans.

oh i understand that but all the recent disparaging remarks have been a little annoying. it was people reading a bit too much into things. i don't think c.i.a. as a supporters club was even mentioned. and after all the hard work the midwest blues have been doing on behalf of everyone in order to get the best package possible...well..it is a bit of a slap in the face.

even if there was another supporters group is it really a bad thing? we are all chelsea at the end of the day.

besides i thought eddie was a hammer now?

It's not a bad thing, no, but CIA would basically be the US Blues, let's be honest.

I understand all the hard work involved in making things like tickets, trips and sections at games here in the States happen - I know Babs, I know Angela, and both have done/do tremendous work on behalf of all US Blues. No one should ever dismiss the fact that these folks did/do this as volunteers and really go out of their way to make Chelsea supporters here in the US welcome.

Again, there was a confusion. This has hopefully been sorted out.

My personal hope is for a strong, united presence that is welcoming to ALL Chelsea supporters from all around the country.

Every morning of my life. :D

Good deal. If I had to speculate, a lot of confusion comes from the reliance on the list serves, and not, as has been created with the CIA website, a website to post all the info on.

agreed. it kind of stinks that everything has become fragmented. it really just used to be the us blues and the new york blues. things got complicated once more people started to follow the chels.

i think the aim of that website is to just get people together for a chat and inform them of their area groups. in the end it helps everyone. ny, tx, us, mw.

I love how suddenly Fulham are "America's Team" because they bought McBride and Bocanegra.

Yea, we're so bitter we'll barely be able to enjoy hoisting the trophy Saturday. Here's the deal. For you lot, beating us was the highlight of the century. I already forgot it even happened until you brought it up. I believe the term that comes to mind is "pimple on an elephant's ass".

So here's the deal. You can have the glory hunters who only heard of Chelsea two years ago. Then Fulham, and the other clubs outside of the top 4 can have the other supporters. Job done, fair deal.

I'll remind you that you only really started hoisting trophey's again last year and before you go on about your illustrious and successful past, I do remember that about 5, 10 and 15 years ago you were in, give or take, 10th place! Right, where Charlton/West Ham currently reside. How quickly we forget.

On another note, its not my fault why most of the Chelsea fans on BigSoccer are so touchy and defensive. I'm not the one that comes here to mouth off everytime something bad happens to you guys. I simply wanted to correct Mr. LoveMonkey regarding his stats, but unless you have Chelsea written under your name, he trys to start a cyber fight. Easy there Rocky.

Yes, Fulham can have all the supporters who only heard of them after Fayed's remaining money bought a few American players.

Mikey--I only started supporting Chelsea in 1970. 36 years of glory. And you started supporting Fulham when? If we're touchy here its because we have a substantial number of idiots (feel free to lump yourself in the group) coming onto OUR board repeating the same old inaccurate crap about our supposed lack of pedigree. Now go back to your own board and hatch some plans on how you can get into the Intertoto next season if you can only sign a couple players.

I didn't come here to say 'you suck' or 'your players are cheating divers'. Thats the problem with you lot, you think only Chelsea fans should be allowed on your boards, like a bunch of cyber-hooligans. I'm allowed on your board, especially when I came here with good intentions, although, I must admit, it did include sarcasm. **GASP!**

You are very insightful Petey boy, but how many times have you actually gone to see your team play at the dog track...err, I mean Stamford bridge this year? A true plastic fan you are, and slightly over aggressive.

Trophy's don't make up clubs or its supporters, so throwing the league title in my face will do nothing. But since you did mention it, still can't buy Europe and the FA Cup eh?

i'm not one to jump to the defense of Chelski, but just because you haven't been to the team's ground to see a match in person doesn't make you less of a fan. some people don't have the money, the time, or there are otehr circumstances.

Quite funny coming from a guy who supports Fulham. Ever been to the Cottage? Mike probably has no idea that his own club didn't even play in Craven Cottage for 2-3 seasons as they went to Selhurst Park because the Cottage is such a shithole.

    Oh, come now.

I have attended (counting home and away) 9 matches this season, I'm die hard Fulham and proud.

Selhust Park??? Try the tin box known as Loftus Road, QPR's ground in White City, I even went to see two matches there while Fulham looked for a new place to build.

We don't mind other fans posting here when they have something worthwhile to say. You prancing in here like a hardcore Fulham fan (AmericanMike) to tell off the plastics - gosh, wonder why we don't think you're remotely amusing, entertaining, interesting or necessary?
You're on a short leash - better make your stay here worthwhile.
