If Keri Russell does a BJ scene like Chloe Sevgene did in The Brown Bunny I may consider it. :)

I am enjoying the "Suri doesn't mean that" stuff. The Isreali ,now he's trying to teach us Hebrew, remark was funny.

Isn't 'Suri' Japanese for 'Pickpocket' ?.

Anyway, Tom has clearly gone mad, and his attempts to push his weirdo cult is grating. Where are the fossils of people 70 million years old Tom ?. Has it not occured to you that Mr. Hubbard may have been taking the p_ss by cooking up a ropey sci-fi story and passing it off as a religion ?. And his 'jumping the couch' antics really get on my tits.

Tom Cruise is a false, plastic man, with a false, plastic religion, and no real personality. And you're a crap actor. If you wanted to tell him a joke, you'd probably have to clear it with 20 of his lawyers and advisors several months in advance.

Legal bit: These views are those of Doctor Stamen, and not anyone who runs this site. So if any of you alien worshipping tools want to get litigious, don't go after Huss and co.

My wife was watching one of the entertainment shows and it had TC on it, I can't stand the guy, but for some reason am drawn to these sound bite things of his, sort of like a car wreck you have to slow down to see.

Anyway, he made a "suprise" entrance into the world prem of MI3 saying he wasn't planning on coming until "Kate" insisted he go, so he would be here for a couple of hours to support "his" cast, then hop on a plane to head back to be with is family since he really can't stand being away from them.

Guess that changed cause he's still there according to the show, with events scheduled for the next day.

The guy and everything he does, including this baby, are little more an PR. How else to keep his name and hence the movie in the news.

I still predict they will never make it to marriage.

Well, if those strange stories about Tom 'auditioning' young actresses to get taken up the aisle, and recieve the turkey baster treatment are true, then Katie will be clinging to the domineering control freak ever more tightly to prove that it was a good career move. Please note the phrase 'career move' rather than 'person to love'.

Tom has obviously never seen the film Audition. Or that episode of The Simpsons when Troy McClure marries Marge's sister.

I agree with NHRef, it is like one of those car crashes you cannot help watching. Or, to keep with the movie theme, a Steven Segal film.

Roger Ebert later made up with Gallo and gave a good review to the released version of the Brown Bunny. According to Gallo, the version shown in Cannes was forced on him and the movie was not finished at the time.

Correct but the BJ scene, which was real, stayed. She was told she would never work in hollywood again after that movie, but she went on to Big Love, where she is such an evil woman.

That's one of those movies where I know just enough about it to not want to put myself through it.

Pretty much sums up how I view Cruise.

But you have to admit, he was pretty damn good in Jerry Maguire.

I've suddenly remembered that I was actually punched in the chest during a Tom Cruise film.

It was high school, and two female friends of mine (one kinda trying to set me up with the other, when I would've been more interested in the first of the two) took me to see Cocktail. The movie is, to put it mildly, predictable. So I started saying out loud (not loud enough to disturb other patrons at the 99-cent theater, but loud enough for my "dates" to hear) everything that was going to happen. She's pregnant. He's going to say X. She's going to do this.

Finally, my matchmaking friend stood up and punched me square in the chest, a little north of the solar plexus.

I guess this was back when women thought he was cute.

I could not believe it, but I read more and then saw screen captures. Chloë Sevigny actually does perform Fellatio. Incredible.

No he was toss. Rich Hall has a great routine that sums up most of his career in which he says:

"Tom Cruise is a barman in a cocktail bar. A good cocktail barman with the potential to be great. He goes off the rails, but pulls it back together with the love of a good woman. Top Gun, Tom Cruise is a pilot, a good pilot with the potential to be great, but goes off the rails. He pulls it together with the love of a good woman..............". He goes on to mention Jerry Maguire, Rainman and Days of Thunder is exactly the same way.

Just don't get me started on War of The Worlds. Cruise and that plank Spielberg have a lot to answer for.

Please don't remind me of that unsightly blotch on Cameron Crowe's otherwise stellar resume.

The key there is Holmes stated her concern for getting her daughter away from Scientology. Took her long enough to come to that realization.

Yup! Time for the break up.
I hadn't seen this thread before but reading this page is a little scary. Cruise is an actor doing a job, you don't have to like him or hate him. I've liked him in some movies and thought he was crap in others. What he is in real life is nothing to do with me. What the gossip (paparazi) columns pubish and say is aimed at selling their shit. Nothing to do with me, if you belive it, well...
Some people forget that this country, the US, is 'supposedly' founded on religious tollerance. Lots of hate in here about his.
Me, I think all religions are bogus, organized for control and filled with hate for anyone who thinks differently.
Scientologists, do they have a history of sexual abuse of minors? Did they support the exterination of jews? Are all muslims worse than all (so called ) christians? Will Spain beat Italy?

Just a minor peeve of mine, end of rant, lets just carry on shall we.

There was a suggestion back then that Katie Holmes had a five-year contract. So yeah, I'm shocked, shocked that this beard-for-hire arrangement is ending after five years.
