Perhaps it can be arranged that you do not see a can. I have my ways... oh I mean my friend has ways...
In the interest of thruthiness, I must admit that I have Zima a lot. I'm cursed by the gods, truly. I'm allergic to hopps. Zima is hopps-free. I have experimented for years by adding ingredients like Strawberries to it. Still, it's taste can't be disguised. This unfortunately is also the case with red bull. Red bull contains taurine; here's what wikopedia says about taurine. "Taurine has also been implicated in a wide array of other physiological phenomena including inhibitory neurotransmission, long-term potentiation in the striatum/hippocampus, membrane stabilization, feedback inhibition of neutrophil/macrophage respiratory bursts, and calcium homeostasis" I don't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good. Esky may have done some long-term potentiaion in his hippocampus Doesn't the boy have enough problems.
Hell they should of discipline me a long time ago. I always spit that crap out. Now that Red Bull is associated with the scum I guess I just have to change and instead just crap it out. The Jerkoff can have it. -The Far Side
Yes, I drink Red Bull. That doesn't make me or anybody else any less of a fan. I have had season tickets in the Barra since 1997. I was at the first MLS Cup in 1996 in the driving rain with my face painted. I have travelled to see the team. I taunted Bo into submission at the Home Depot Center. The list goes on. Time to get over it, just because somebody drinks Red Bull doesn't make them a New York sympathizer. A can of Sugar Free Red Bull makes me even more energized and rabid for DC United games.
He should be fined. Personally, i see nothing wrong with the celebration, it was clever. However, we have to remember Red Bull besides owning a soccer team in New York is also a league wide sponser. While the celebration was more a dig at the team itself and the rivalry it also was a poor endorcment of the product itself that invested money into the league as a sponser. If he had done that with a bottle of Sierra Mist i am sure that sponser would be pretty unhappy too. The league may have no choice but to disipline Eski for nothing else but to appease the sponser.
Red Bull will be bitching about the unpaid advert, showing thier can mid-broadcast for free? Gimmee a break, this wasn't the Superbowl. Esky didn't insult the Redbulls any worse than the Redbull players insulted the team by thier performance. Mark
i too have a hard time believing red bull would be upset, the old maxim "any publicity is good publicity" would apply here one would think.
Unpaid advert? You mean the part where he drinks the product then spits it out in disgust and shakes his head? Yeah i bet the company loves that kind of unpaid exposure. The players embarased the team Red Bull slaps it logo on, but that is different than the ACTUAL product that is a league wide sponser. Its not a difficult concept to grasp. Like i said as a fan i see nothing wrong with it. But fans dont run MLS and sponsers having their product negativily displayed by MLS employees may see something wrong with it and they carry a bit more weight. MLS has to take care to ensure the people paying them money as sponsers are not having their products being shite on. If he had done that with a bottle of Sierra Mist you can bet they would be screaming at Garber and he would have to do something because in the end of the day the sponser is worth more than a goal celebration.
Do you honestly believe MLS is pissed about this? If so, why would that picture be the link to the highlights of the DC-NY game on the Sights and Sounds page of MLSNet?
