Then this wasn't meant for you. And of course I didn't mean all US fans. But don't you agree that if we all applied only for our teams tickets, the chances for true fans seeing their teams would be much higher.
Btw, I think that the next resale phase will offer far more hot tickets because lot of people bought tickets for all kind of games not even being sure that they will attend these. Thats why I'm aimig only at the Croatia 3 group games and I believe that there will be easier than now, to buy tickets for the later stages of the WC (if we pass the group of course).

Btw, I'm a Croatian born in Sydney; I hope Cro & Aus will destroy Bra & Jpn in the first two games so we can arrange a draw in Stutgart. Players will not be allowed to pass the centre of the field, hehehe

If you were born in Sydney you are Australian! :)

I understand your point regarding tickets. The TST's that have popped up this week should have gone to the people who support the countries of each TST. But the blame shouldn't be directed at other football fans, it's the O.C.s fault.

If you think by not clicking on tickets that someone from that country will probably get them you are wrong. Even if everyone who posts on bigsoccer only went after games featuring their own country the odds would only slightly increase, because this website probably accounts for 0.01% of all people chasing tickets.

The amount of tickets given to sponsors, the miniscule original allocation of 8% to competing nations, and the general process of obtaining tickets has encouraged scalping and is the reason that there will be so many neutral supporters at each game.

Based on some figures that FIFA has published, ticket applications from Europeans vastly outnumber those from elsewhere. So there will be far more Europeans going to games that don't involve their home team.

Well officialy I'm both (Cro&Aus), but I came to Cro when I was 2 yrs old. In any other game I will suport Aussie but in Stutgart there will be only Cro.:) ;)

That's fair enough then. It bugs me when people support the country where their parents were born over the country they live in, but since you have spent most of your life in Croatia that should be your team.

Many of the people who will attend the Australia v Greece friendly next month will be supporting Greece, even though they have spent their whole life in Australia.

yeah every country has this problem. In a friendly between Germany-Turkey in Munich, so many people cheered for the turks although they were born in Germany and "just" their parents were originally from turkey.

Wow, thats a pretty ignorant statement. When the World Cup was in the USA in 1994 I went to every game at Foxboro Stadium south of Boston, MA. None of these games involved the USA.

I went to these games AS A FAN OF THE SPORT! I am sure you will find many other fans like me at the games who aren't residents of the countries that are playing.

I am from the US and ia m going to Sweden/TT, Angola/Portugal, Brazil/Croatia and Spain/Ukraine. So much for the theory that US fans care only about baseball or whatever else that person wrote.
