    Dammit.

The good news is Mina and Cooper are more dangerous than half the forward combos in the league. If Ronnie can get his head screwed on straight, we should be able to weather the storm.

    Next 3 games:

    @ Colorado 4/15
    KC Wiz 4/23
    @ DC 4/29

We need Ruiz back and healthy for the 4 game set of @ Houston - LA, Houston then the Revs all within 2 weeks.

Yes- thank goodness its April and not late September.

What did I tell [some of] you people at the post-game tailgate?

Ruiz subbing out ALWAYS equals him being out for at least 3 weeks.

    I told you so!

We're only two weeks into the season! Oooo the drama! Watch us find out tomorrow that Ronnie sabotaged him or something...

    ... I am kidding...

Damn, he's gonna miss the ESPN2 matchup against KC and Eddie Johnson. He would have undoubtedly "showed him up" like Wynalda says.

Is there an issue between the two? Is ROB reportedly jealous
    of Ruiz's contract or something?

If I remember correctly, ROB has a rather nice contract himself.. In MLS terms.. One of the higher paid in the league..

Actually, I heard that Carlos and Ronnie are very good friends. Carlos was just anxious to join his good buddy on the sidelines for some free time, which he will use to take Ronnie out for buffalo wings at Hooters. Yeah, baybey.

ROB is about $150k to $160k.

Ruiz is now on max, which is $350k.

sounds about right to me.....now if they could just get/keep Ruiz fit.....here's betting he's off to Guatemala "for treatment"....

If that comes to pass, i.e. Fish actually leaving town "for treatment",
    then all bets are off.

I'm curious to see which of these two emerge as the second best behind Ruiz. With only 1.5 games for Cooper, it is too soon to say, but we'll learn alot about both of them the next 2 games.

Also.. I wonder if this is good for Charras getting a chance to see playing time already. It sounded from the interview like he is in good physical form since he has trained with the reserves in arg, but may not be in football form since he hasn't had recent meaningful minutes

Buzz is reporting that the hamstring is torn. I would be surprised if Carlos can be back on the field in 3 weeks. Also, this is the kind of injury that will flare up again during the rest of the season - maybe once or twice more.

This is bad news. Or so I fear.

Quoted and bolded for doom and gloom emphasis.

I hope this doesn't reignite the "shouldn't have traded EJ" talk.

not this time, I brain farted late at night when tired, I just stuck the wrong word in there. it's just a strain. a tear would be two months or something.

My bad people, I jacked that up royally. Although I do appreciate the assumption that I would be right.

and here I was all excited cause I had six stories yesterday only to butcher the last one. dagnabit.

    my apologies.
