Cary Talley had this comment after the game "I didn't connect with Mark Wilson all last year (while playing with FC Dallas) and the one time I did, I'm on the opposite team."
The television pregame had an interview with Talley. In it, he said that Ruiz had broken his orbital bone in an earlier contest. He went on to say that once they both were in Dallas not a word was said about it by either player, and so he was especially excited to meet again as opponents. I thought Talley played well on the whole, and was unfortunate on the ping-pong "clearance" off of Willo. Oh, well....them's the breaks. Suck it, RSL.
That play was the essence of Carey Talley. I mean really. All he has to do is not turn off his brain, turn around the clear the ball the other way, or over the goal. Instead, he blasts it off someone else and into his own goal. NOTHING showed the genious of Clarke as well as that split second decision.
What they didn't show was postgame when Talley acknowledged Inferno by saying, "Yes, Garlick's mustache does inteed tickle"
