    Currently?
Why wouldn't you like him as a friend. He looks like a nice bloke. I don't know why people think he cocky, people have said he came from a poor family, so im pretty sure he has strong values. And he does lots of charity work. Thants a friend I would want, rich and down to earth.

Yeah he has been better lately, but tremendous? don't know about that. I thought he would be a better player by now, not alot better but better. For starters he should have at least 20 goals if not more given all the point blank chances he has had, and missed at times miserably. And he still doesn't have consistency in his game. You just never know what you're gonna get from Ronaldo...It's like rolling the dice, and believe me he will drive Scolari and all of us nuts in Germany. I'm just hoping for two big games from him there...
But, I do agree that he has improved lately. Hopefully he keeps is going.

Yeah I got to agree. With Manchester United he is a little inconsistent. Not as much in the second half of the season. I think with the NT he plays great, I wouldn't change nothing there.

20 goals season is alot you know. He definitly has the ability to accomplish that. I think hes going to reach 15 goals by the end of this season. But alot of Strikers in the EPL don't even get 20 goal seasons....

Yes I agree, 20 is alot in the EPL and he may never get 20 in a season, but doesn't it seem like he's missed a million easy chances?

Not as many as this season. Last season was painful to watch...I have never seen a player hit as many posts as he has in my life. And if he didnt hit the post he would just miss it completly.

    This year its better...

Its a good point actually, last season he had a TON of chances that he didnt put away, and he probably should have gotten an award for hitting the post the most number of times. its weird tho because now it seems hes a little bit more of a selfish player and by this i mean now he seems more willing to set up and score the goals himself than to make plays and cross for others, yet it seems like this season hes had less chances than last season. I guess its due to an increase in confidence on his part, but to his credit he has increased his accuracy and shooting ALOT this season. I can remember all the long range shots he tried last season and they were just terrible! now at least hes getting a bit of a reputation with his long range free kicks and strikes.

Yeah....yet you always got the feeling that he must have some sort of long range distance. Because he continually tried them, no matter what happened. So you got the feeling that he must be knocking them down in practice...

i dont see how hes inconsistent with the NT and i dont see him driving scolari and the fans 'nuts' in germany.speaking of missing point blank chances, everyone's guilty of that once in a while.just the other day against newcastle rooney was infront of an empty goal and he hit the bar when he could've EASILY scored.20 goals is a LOT for someone who isn't a striker.guess what, rooney as a striker has 15 (12 premiership) goals this season and ronaldo has 11 (8 premiership) as a midfielder.ronaldo started only 16 premiership games while rooney started 27.ronaldo is united's highest scoring midfielder.i think it's a little impractical to suggest he SHOULD be scoring 20...and can you name those point blank chances that he missed 'miserably'? i can think of 2 at the most (arsenal and bolton where he scored a brace to make up for the miss).
and he has definitely become a better player.watch his passing and his off ball runs.did you notice the way he and rooney link up? by exchanging 3-4 passes the two split up opposition midfield and defence all by themselves.did you see his ball distribution in the saudi arabia match? i thought he was excellent.

I agree that 20 is too much to ask for in Ronaldo but its also too much to ask for Rooney as well. Rooney and Ronaldo are players that arent typical for their roles. Ronaldo is a wide midfielder in english football terms but in Portuguese futebol terms isnt he a winger aka a forward, and if youll notice when you watch a Manchester United game that hes got a free role in the field, he can be right beside Van Nisterooy at times, and he can be beside his own fullback at times. So he SHOULD be scoring goals, but in the premiership i think 11 is a good tally for anyone in that position. Rooney as well is a striker in paper only, but he is also a "Free Role" type player for United as well. Ever notice how deep he plays? sometimes he plays in almost a defensive mid role, hes more of a set up man and does most of his work behind the main striker so comparing Rooneys goal tally to Ronaldos isnt that important imo this season.

YESSSS....They did it the past few games. Thats what everyone was expecting and now its finally happening. I remember the first team they carved out the team like it was the eve of halloween. Rooney and Ronaldo went by 5 players in total but in the end Rooney gave away the ball instead of blasting away...It gave me tingles

ronaldo does not have a free role at united.he has a 'free role' in the portugal NT where he plays as a winger/attacking midfielder/ striker all at once but at united, he is LARGELY confined to the wings.the only time i see him venture into the centre is when united are winning...he also doesn't play upfront with saha/ruud like he sometimes does with pauleta for portugal.united's counter attacks are usually through ronaldo but when he's not the one initiating it, his pace takes him to where ruud /saha are waiting but except for those instances, ronado plays in a more withdrawn role.rooney is the one with the free role at united.i guess you're right about their goal tally but it was just to highlight that it isn't right to expect ronaldo to score 20 and chide him for not doing so.

    You are very right.
I have been noticing though that Manchester United are allowing him to venture more into the middle of the field. You are right though, they usually confine him solely to either the right or left wings.

    DADDY OF ALL HEROES
BRITISH children have named their all-time top hero - their dad.

Mum was runner-up in a poll of 2000 kids aged eight to 12.

Cartoon favourite Bart Simpson tied with God in third place.

Others to make the top 20 in the survey by a soft drink firm included Dr Who, Bob Geldof and the Queen. Three footballers were placed - David Beckham, Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo.
