Re: Frank Cunha I really like this guy... too bad he will never get a serious look for the NT... http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/photo?slug=afp-fblengprportsmouth&prov=afp
Re: Frank Cunha Any DMC set-up composed of two of Mendes, Maniche, Tiago or Martins would be awesome.
Re: Frank Cunha Personally I feel that Frank wasn't being respected on his posts. Yeah we joke around, but all in fun of discussing what we like best. We disagreed at times, and agreed on others. To say things are the same here is rubish, because since he left things have changed.
Re: Frank Cunha Frank is great he posts alot and he is has informaton about everything on Portuguese soccer and more.
Re: Frank Cunha Frank, jec1, the rest of them, they are all great, and though they don't post here, they do come onto the site. Check the similarities between some of the posts here at BigSoccer and some of the posts' at their 'new' site. Obviously, the BigSoccer crew are gone, but we aren't forgotten, not by a long shot. In fact, you could say that we are contributing to that site, without even knowing it See it for yourselves...
Re: Frank Cunha I've checked it out, and I have noticed the similarities, but with free agency, these things happen. Now it's time to call up the youngsters from the farm system, sign some free agents, and lock up our current superstars to long-term deals.
Re: Frank Cunha This has been bugging me for a bit now, so I'll come out with it - if BigSoccer was just so bad for these guys, why did they not explain the reason as to why they left? I mean, let us know what went wrong, why things went so sour. Was it the post counts? The fact that the green nipples are gone? Let us know...
Re: Frank Cunha He probably went to the other forum because of all the Anti-Beto people on this site...My prediction they will all be back by the World Cup.
Re: Frank Cunha I believe a big deal was made about post counts and rep points being taken off of your profile. Some posters took real pride in the post counts and how visible they were. But everyone can still see thim...they are just a click away
Re: Frank Cunha I agree, I don't understand what the big deal is about post-count and the rep. points... Do some people come here to get and share information or to get patted on the back for their posts?
Re: Frank Cunha I am sure certain posters need a little "ego massage" every now and then... But if you are feeling insecure or neglected...this definately isn't the place to make you feel any better
Re: Frank Cunha When Scolari leaves, Pedro Mendes may get his chance. How old is he? As far as Frank goes, naturally, I have nothing but respect for him. He was the 'grande homen" of our boards. He certainly doesn't owe anybody an explanation as to why he left, but I am curious about it. I don't understand why he still doesn't come here every now or then. It's like if there were two pubs in your neighborhood. Why would you just stop going to one after you've been going there for years? Obviously, something iritated him to the point of no return (yet). What was so bad? FORÇA PORTUGAL !!!
Re: Frank Cunha Personally, I havent e-mail him, I will try to know what happened. BUt concerning your example on the "pubs", on a portuguese view, Even if there are only 2 pubs in your litle town, you will be a "permanent client" of the one where you are welcome. I hope Frank can come ack someday, but if not, we shall see his example, and we shall try to post here informations from eveywhere... even if it is one post per day, it is a great honour that we can do to continue Frank's job FRank, Old cool boy
Re: Frank Cunha I guess Frank really is gone. I'm gone for a weekend, come back to BigSoccer, and don't have to go through two pages worth of threads in BigSoccer without feeling like I missed anything. What's my post count up to anyway? Have I reached 2000 yet? Where's my green nipples people? Give me REPS! That's it! I'm going over to the other soccer site.
Re: Frank Cunha I'm willing to trade Brian for Frank Cunha-I'll even throw in the hat I'm getting from CSD!
Re: Frank Cunha People who join another forum over something like public rep being barred and a post count... Oh yeah, that and people who sign on to forums and say the forum picked up a free agent. It's almost to the point of being a nerd, to be honest, I don't look at any of you guys that way, but oh well. I'm pretty sure some people just went over to be mods. (not Cunha though, since he'd already been posting there)
Re: Frank Cunha That's rude of you - that hat got a lot of value, you know! Why don't we switch the hat with " a Newbie to be Named Later" ?!
