Isn't the point that you and your friends don't like something that other people might?

If it weren't for vodka, I'd have gotten scurvy in college. It's the only way I got any vitamin C.

No, I didn't think making a point was possible cause everyone can think differnently about everything.

Wouldn't it be neat if MLS was big enough that Red Bull buying the Metrodonkeys causes their sales in DC to plummet?

I think that has more to do with your search activity than the actual importance of the story. I checked a friends computer who doesn't pay attention to soccer and it isn't listed as a lead story on her computer.

Agreed. I'm cool with the new name, but they need to solidify Red Bull New York to stop confusion. Drop the Red Bulls (with an "s") and I'm rather euro-snobby happy.

Actually, it's gone from mine now too. And I almost never use Yahoo's search cabapility so I don't know if they would have me in a soccer-friendly category.

I used to be a sleepy drunk. I was pleasant enough-- and no danger to myself or the ladies I was too tired to talk to.

The first night I drank Red Bull and vodka, I successfully hit on my arch-enemy's GF, pissed on the sofa on his porch, and ran away from the police.

You can take all that as positive or a negative.

Good luck to red bull. They have to deal with single entity and a team that has been in the toilet since day one.. A HARD CHALLENGE...

Now a few points, they, Red Bull, are going to clean house, Goodbye LALAS, Johnston, ect ect.... START ALL NEW.... It will make for a intresting season... Hopefully the people can come back. The biggest test is to get the people back!

Yes my buddy owns 3 bars here in CHicago and the sugar free REdBull has become the mixer of choice instead of the regular redbull.

Congrats to MLS and NY sale well done. Now tell NJ to stick it in their ass.

Anschutz is a genius. he got this done a cash infusion and a partner who can help pay the bills for the new complex. Tell the stadium politicians to go do some lines and leave them alone.

I dont think anyone in Tampa or Miami even knew their teams existed so i doubt thats a big deal.

Secondly life goes on and things change, those who dont adapt and go along with it are usually left in the dust.

SJ fans can blame their city goverment and SanJose State for not taking AEG seriously when they said they would move the team. Case of too little too late.

Houston.. Well we can just blame the Mexicans :D

NJ, its funny how people suddenly are clamouring over a name that was given by a corporate entity becauyse they are upset that it will lose character and meaning if named after a corporate entity.. The free ride is over for Metromedia. Ohh does Metromedia have anything to do with Metros name??

Re: Great Press! Red Bull Takeover makes Yahoo Front Page!

So I feel I should tell a good story with regards to this statement.

My junior year of college I'm driving home from school early on a Friday morning. I had left at around 530am for whatever reason and I went too bed way too late considering my morning departure time. I'm about halfway home in the middle of nowhere in Indiana and I'm starting to get really drowsy. I try all the usual remedies (i.e. loud music, windows down for cold air, etc.), but they're not working. I pull off at a gas station and grab a Diet Coke, a Red Bull, and a Snickers bar. I figure I'll chug the RB and eat the Snickers and that ought to wake me up. I get back on the highway and start cruising along (windows still down). I pop the RB and take two good chugs...and I proceed to spray the contents out the drivers-side window. I quick chug the Diet Coke and eat the Snickers to get the taste out of my mouth, all the while wondering why it tasted so bad. I'd had plenty of Red Bull in the past and never noticed how bad it was. Then it occurs to me that the only time I've had Red Bull was with a generous portion of vodka.

    Gotta love college. :D

There are so many posts in so many threads on this subject and not enough talk about the fact that those bulls are not red, they are PINK

I am not a Metros/Red Bull fan, but from my perspective it would be a major error to dump Mo Johnston. I thought he brought a level of intensity and organization to NY that was noticeable. Didn't NY just sign him to a new contract?

Yes an MLS owned entity for pennies on the dollar instead of selling to MLS when they offer some decent bucks the year before.

Logans revenge mentions that Chinaglia is talking out of his pasta hole. No one else has mentioned that he is being offered the job but him.
