You don't necessarily have to have the highest ranked teams to have a high ranked average. If you're 3, 4, and 5 picks were ranked higher than another member's 3, 4, and 5 picks, you may end up with a higher average than them, even if their first 2 picks were ranked much higher than your first 2 picks.
More observations. Montreal United picked up 3 group A teams in Draft #2 for a total of 4 - meaning 8 more games than dcchelsea who was the only one with no Group A teams. In Group C, arguably the most open group. 6 players have two teams, and eldiablito and IASocFan have none. I think you and I wisely chose to stay away from that group (IMHO). It is, as you say, "open." My gut says that Turkey is the most talented team of group C, but to have to play all of their "home" games behind closed doors (and on neutral soil) doesn't make them a lock to qualify. BTW, I'm curious how people answered the bonus questions...

Hmm, a lot of people voting for themselves in this question - takes a bit of the fun out of it doesn't it?
Its actually a bad strategy and i'd change my answer if i could. See - if you're predicting you'll end up with the most points - then you won't need the bonus answer, however if someone gets it right, they can end up with more points after bonus points are applied. If you're predicting someone else to end up with more points, then you can be in 2nd - 3rd place, predict the right answer and then move up to first after bonus points are applied. I think.
