    Did you ever fix the sound on that one?

    I'm still seeding that torrent (Japan.ISO), but I've had a couple of brief power outages in the last few hours which keep knocking me offline. That might explain it.

    No; I figured those who had mostly downloaded ought to finish the initial download since most were nearly done, and then I'll do another version of it as an ISO.

    Anyone finished the Austria game yet? Does it have sound?

    Speaking of which, I notice that although I am seeding it and it shows a Green face on Azureus, the HPI site says there are no seeders? I think I'm having some strange issue with Azureus and HPI--anyone care to suggest what I do?

    I'm not sure how to help you re that (I'm still a newbie in a lot of ways re bittorrent), but I plan on getting involved with that torrent as soon as I can clear some hard drive space.

    Also, I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the group of files (Video_TS and vts files) that make up the Czech 1990 game in regards to burning it to a viewable dvd. (If I would have known you are rereleasing it as a .ISO, I would have just waited for it.....in fact I'll probably still jump on it. What will the difference in the two be?)

    I believe that Nero has an option for 'write DVD video' which opens .VOB files. I'll get the ISO up running pretty soon; I just need to get the Japan ISO written to a DVD so that I can free up the disk space.

    Assuming you have a DVD burner, just burn the whole Video_TS folder straight onto a DVD. Your DVD player is looking for the Video_TS folder to open and play.

    This one's very simple with Nero, and you'll get these with a lot of DVD releases.

    Saeyddthe's completely chimp step-by-step guide for burning those ifo/bup/vob things:

    1~ Open Nero Burning ROM
    2~ Click on the "New" button (or select "File" > "New")
    3~ Select "DVD-Video" in the left pane (you can check your settings if you like, but the default settings should be fine), and click "New" at the bottom.

    OR

    1~ Open 'StartSmart'
    2~ Under "Photo and Video" select "Burn DVD-Video Files" (you may have to enable 'expert mode' or whatever it's called... (The button with the people on it)

    ~~~Both ways should take you to the same place~~~
    1~ On the left pane, you should see a disc named 'New', and AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders underneath. Select the VIDEO_TS folder.
    2~ In the 'File Browser' pane, navigate to the folder where all those ifo/bup/vob things are. When you get to the folder they're in, they should all appear in the pane to the right.
    3~ Select ALL of the files.
    4~ Just drag them all into the empty window. (Which shows your VIDEO_TS folder's contents. If it makes you feel better, you can click back & forth between theVIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders on the left, and your contents should appear & disappear)
    5~ Pop a blank disk in your drive, and click the "Burn" button.
    6~ Slect you write speed or whatever, and click the "Burn" button again.
    7~ Find something to do for awhile...:)
    Thanks for all of the advice and help.
    I don't have Nero....just the software my pc came with (Sonic's RecordNow and Intervideo WinDVD Creator) and the freebies I've downloaded (DeepBurner, DVD-Decrypter, and a few others). I'll probably go get Nero soon though since it seems to be the one everyone talks about.
    The files aren't in a Video_TS folder, but I think I've found the right way to arrange them in Video_TS folders I create and put them in....I'll give this a shot.
    All games that you download from HPI come in a Video_TS folder, so thats a little wierd. I use Sonic RecordNow also. Just stick a blank dvd in the drive and have RecordNow burn the Video_TS folder onto it as data. The big part is making sure the actual dvd is liked by your non-computer DVD player. My DVD player did not like the Memorex dvds I first used, it loves Sony and CompUSA discs though.
    Hey guys - Rather simplistic questions from an extremely non-tech savy guy here (sorry if you've answered these questions several times before, but the thread is long, and skimming through to find the answers has been unsuccessful):
    I've installed BitTorrent on my PC, and I'm trying to download the Portugal match from 02 from HPI, but it's moving at a rate of 5kb/sec. Is that because two other people are downloading now also and I have the lowest priority? Does that mean my download rate will speed up once the other guys finish?
    Also, is there any other general info that a first-time HPI user should know? I have exactly zero experience with torrents, though I'm not a complete virgin to P2P file sharing.
    All of the files I've downloaded from HPI have either been .ISOs (1 file only) or .avi (divx) or .mpeg files.
    This one came down in a folder named "USA vs. Czechoslovakia 1990 World Cup" with no subfolders....all of the .vob files (Video_TS and VTS files) inside this 1 folder.
    What I was thinking in my last post was that if I created the right folders to put the files into and then put the files in the right folders I could just do as you suggested.
    Just a footnote on my Sonic RecordNow software.....I don't have a fully functional version. It allows me to make data DVDs, but I never purchased the upgrade which will allow me to make viewable DVDs with it.
    So far I've just used DeepBurner to burn .ISOs to viewable DVDs and Intervideo WinDVD Creator to make viewable DVDs from video files (mpeg etc.). I've never tried to rip a DVD, but I have DVD-Decrypter if I need to. I've never had to bother with .vob files before this though.
    I'm no expert either, but the more people involved with the torrent (either uploading or downloading) the healthier it is....ie the faster the speed you can get. The most important thing is the number of seeders (people with whole file) and that the leechers (people downloading) continue to seed when they become seeders. I think your share ratio can have something to do with your speed too.
    Just let it sit for a while...it should get faster.
    Thank you.:)
    I'm hanging on to the .vob files just in case, but this is what I was hoping for.
