    I assume this is the Ryan Putrell that recently graduated from Santa Clara Univ. He was a solid central defender for the Broncos, but didn't seem to garner much interest from MLS.

    Seems to be injury prone, maybe thats why he didnt get much looks from MLS. He is also 24.

    This trial continues... He played either a half or the full 90 (I've seen conflicting reports. but probably a half) against Cobh Ramblers in a friendly this weekend.

    Looks like some Waterford fans were surprised and/or disappointed with the news, based on a quick scan of a United message board. Given that, perhaps he caught someone else's eye while over there...
