I'm sure these stewards also have other jobs, how much could they possibly earn for working a few hours every other week?
Steward is one of those jobs - like beer taster, games tester, MI6 agent, male prostitute, international man of mystery - that invariably isn't as fun as it might first appear. Watching football is my hobby. Its on of the things I do to escape the monotony of work. Why would anyone want to make their hobby their job.?
cause it makes going to work that much better.....wouldn't you say most professional athletes make their 'hobby' their 'jobs'?
I can remember as a kid watching a programme on TV where the presenter, Jack Hargreaves, was teaching fishing. I thought, "This guy would fish for nothing, and he is getting paid a load of dosh to do something he would do for nothing. If only I could get a job like that". "IF ONLY!!!!!!"
"Neither"!!! He taught fishing to kids on TV. The reference I was making was getting a job, being paid a lot of money, for ANYTHING that I would gladly do for nothing! At that age, "playing for Arsenal" sprang to mind. ("You're from Quebec, right"?)
At first it was his hobby, but then it became his job. So now he knows from experience not to make his hobby his job. He learned the hard way. So to speak.
stewarding is not as fun as u make it seem...u have ur back to the pitch,,watchin the fans,,,an u probably end up missin a moment of magic...like henrys solo goal against spurs a couple of years ago....
if u guys do apply,,,,try an apply for training session stewards...u get to see the boys training..and theire are less fans..
