    My Weekend

Let me just start off by saying that this past 3-Day weekend was very exciting and interesting. I seen things that I didn't quite want to see.

On Friday, I went to see Gruvis Malt at the Gallery in SJ. I arrived around 7:00 and the doors hadn't even opened yet although they promise they open doors at that time. The doors ended up opening at nine and when I got in there was a band in front of the stage ready to perform. Odd. Not good enough to play ON the stage I guess. Once they finished I immeditly went to the front of the stage and waited for GM to come on. A short, fat guy came on though. His songs were comical, purposly though. By the time GM came on I was restless, but soon enough I was hyped and enjoyed the show. The sound system was all jacked and GM was throwing out some terms to the PA guy like "less bass in the moniter, more keyboard in my earpiece." and the idiot PA guy had no clue what he was doing. GM was a little upset about that. The show was rocken besides the fact that the sound was jacked. I talked to the keyboardist for a good half hour until we had to leave. We basically spoke about random stuff that included how aweful some bands on MTV are and file sharing. We got home around midnight which wasn't too bad.

Saturday was the David Gray concert. I was so anxious for it. I got there around 4:00 and I tried looking for David but he wasn't around. So I kind of gave up. The doors opended a little early concidering that it was raining off and on and the Civic Center people were being cool about the whole thing. I was in front to his left. And when he got onstage everyone was just happy because of a long wait. His show was the longest show I've ever been too. It was also the mellowist. It was kick @ss none the less. After I waited by some tour buses with about 20 other people thinking he would come out but he never did. I got the clue that he wasn't going to be coming out by where we were waiting so I started to investigate the venue. Sure enough, there was a van waiting buy where the crew loads the gear and I spotted David's band. Dave came out and we had him sign a couple of things. Dolores couldn't find my sharpe in her bag and that gave everyone else time to relize that David was in the van. Some guy who was a fan came to the van and handed David a pen then proceeded to ask for his autograph, but David was in a rush and he kept saying he was only attending Dolores and I. He cussed at the sercurity guards too. That was awesome. The wierd thing is, is that he wanted to personalize the cd booklets, and I guess he didn't understand when I told him my name, so he signed it "To Ian". I was mad at first but don't mind it much anymore. I laugh about it now. I'll have him change it when I meet him again. :D On the way home it was pouring. This grand pre who was just speeding down the highway did a complete 360 in fron of us and ended up hitting the side of the road. It was scary cause it was just pitch dark (besides the lights from your car) and ouch. I hate to say this but the driver got what s/he deserved. It was speeding in and out of traffic since I first noticed it. That' s what happens when your careless.

Sunday I was at Slims for the Gruvis Malt show. They were also with Sage Francis who I didn't stay to see on friday. But I stayed for his portion of the show on sunday. He is awesome. GM was his back up band and basically they all just rocked. This show was 10 times better then the friday one because the sound system was, um, professional. GM even said they like it better. During the show something was thrown at Sage. He asked who threw it and brought the guy near the stage. He then proceeded to slap him. The guy was a jerk though. Sage told him that he could have his peace and tried handing him the mic but then slapped him again. It was soo funny. Yet I felt kind of bad. This one drunk guy approched the stage saying stuff to Sage. He wanted to battle Sage (Freestyle "rapping" off the top of your head for those who don't know) and Sage pushed him off the stage by his face. Two songs later Sage let the random guy get up and rap, and he sucked but Sage apologized and gave the freestyler a free cd. Sage is the Freestyle champ of the world I don't know what the other guy was thinking. We talked to the guys of GM after the show, got autographs and hung out for a while. On the street though this random guy came up and started to compliment Dolores and I, then saying because we are who we are, we complimented out friend just by being with him. It was wierd. Some homeless lady came up to me and asked if she could sing me a song earlier in the day, she did it for money of course. While waiting for my ride, this big tall african american man just walked up to this short white guy and started an argument with him. This was like 50 feet away from me. I was scared one of them was going to get a gun so I didn't try getting closer or stopping it for that matter. But the tall guy ended punching the white guy smack in face and knocked him out cold for a good two minutes. I walked up to him trying to wake him up and he had a hat and a cell phone which I grabbed for his sake, because a couple of other people started to crowd around him. He ended up being okay, and I gave him his stuff. We had called an ambulance but he didn't want to go so he left and when the ambulance arrived we just ignored it.

That's all, stay tuned for more of my adventures. :)

I couldn't decide what to eat for lunch. So I just went down to the hot dog stand cuz a coworker was going.

I spent $3 on the most disgusting hot dog!! Yucko!

Now I'm just messing around online trying to keep my mind off work.

Which isn't really helping with all the projects and deadlines we're all under.

I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday. Cuz I was dreaming of the things I have to do at work this Friday.

I laid in bed thinking, "It's Friday! Woo hoo! I can get outta bed now, knowing it's Friday! Just get through the day and it's the weekend!"

Then I realized it was only Tuesday. So I hit the snooze button and slept for another half hour.

That feeling of disappointment over it not being Friday was so horrible!

My shoulder is really killing me from working so hard! :(

I need to do some yoga! That always makes my muscles feel better! Hmm...I'll do that tonight.

I don't have dance class this week. They call it "mid-winter" break or something. Whatever. I''ll probably end up having to work that night anyway!

Well...hmm...that's all I have to say right now.

Still not able to sleep! AHHHHH!!!!!

I took two tylenol pm three hours ago. And still no sleep! That usually knocks me out in an hour or two!

Oh well. One of these days I'll be able to sleep.

But it's all good cuz I'm watching Cowboy Bebop for the first time! Rock freaking on! This is awesome! Cowboy Bebop rocks!

I think I need some beer. Yeah, I do need beer.

I haven't done my hausaufgabe yet. I'm in big trouble! There's a ton of vocabulary!

Oh well! I'm just being a slacker this week. Must be the lack of sleep.

But! Cowboy Bebop is over and I think the tylenol is kicking in!

    Gute Nacht!

It has snowed here, but I would rather not see snow in California. People drive bad enough as it is. You should see them when it rains.

So I don't know if this belongs in the Random Jibberish...I hate this thread.
Anyway, I was at the sharks game last night, they were playing the New York Islanders. And who was doing the PBP for New York? Noneother than Jack Edwards. I was sitting there, and during a lull in the action I catch a glimpse of him and yell "Holy Sh1t! It's Jack Edwards!" Half the section turned around and looked at me. Only one or two soccer afficionados knew what I was talking about.
    Anyway....weird.
