Basicly you'd have to be a fvckwit to believe it. Because

    1. Torres most likey destination is Barcelona, we are not big enough for him
    2. M Jol has said on number of occasions that he will not be buying anyone during the transfer window
    3. It's probably some idiot trying to make us look stupid again.
    4. Even is spurs were to buy someone, it won't be Torres and it won't be 20 odd million

    Let Torres go anywhere else.

Watching him week in and week out, he's got to be the most overrated striker in the world. He hasn't done crap this season (even with Kezman up front to help take some of the load off), yet people here still think he's the next Raul (who's overrated in himself).

Can Sp*rs afford him? Arsenal have a ton of forwards.
Why on Earth should we persue him?

We may be watching 2 different players but Torres has great skill. If he joins a tem like Barca where he can actually get better service i can almost guarantee you will see alot more goals coming from him.

I just don't see him as worth anywhere close to the figures that people are talking about. I agree with the other guy that he is really overrated. You might want to look at how many goals he has against teams like R.Madrid. I think you'll be surprised. Anyway, we're fine at that position for the next couple of years if Henry stays so there isn't a chance we'll go for him.

The question is not "can Spurs afford him" but "does he want to go to Spurs?" At least if Spurs get him they're getting a striker, not a midfielder which Jol seems forever buying.

I don't think he's overrated, based on the fact he gets little to no service and is 21 years old. And you must be full of it if you think Raul is overrated. He might be past his peak, but at his peak he was consistently one of the top players around. People seem to confuse consistency with poor quality, but that is not the case.

If we buy another forward im going to get real pissed. We bought two strikers and a midfielder and now we need some defenders.

Torres would flourish on a better side, but I say go for a Midfielder or Defender.
