If it's even possible, does transferring something from Tivo's drive to a laptop take much time? How long should I expect for DVD burning of these games? 3. Software. Any recommendations for quality DVD burning software out there? Are there any good, free/cheap programs you can use? I don't have Tivo, I just go straight to my PC (PVR tuner card). But I would highly recommend doing some Google searches. "Tivo DVD" should yeild some good results. There should be some good discussion boards for this type of thing. Also, see if Tivo's website has a forum. There should also be some good freeware burning software available. Sorry I'm not providing any answers.
I do know a product that works very well i just purcheased it from Best Buy its called the Sony DVD Direct it cost i think 239$ its pretty sweet.. It has Easy direct connection of a camcorder/vcr no computer required Video/Analog inputs works with any camcorder vcr/pvr/dvr connect to a computer by usb2.0 for dvd burning and more model number vrd-vc20 can someone post a picture.
The approach I took was to buy a DVD recorder (stand-alone component) that is connected to the rest of my home theater equipment. I run everything through my preprocessor, so it's trivial to send the output of my DirecTivo box to the recorder. This recorder has a hard disk to hold recordings, and it lets me edit the material and add chapter titles before burning DVDs. I don't use the DVD burner in my PC at all.
D^MNIT!!! COMCAST Isn't airing the series in my area!!!! .. could someone PLEASE record this and make copies for me. I'll pay for the tapes/DVDs and the shipping to get them to me!!! MAN! I can't believe this!!!
well, I don't see any commercials yet, but I'm not watching closely. They're skipping, so hopefully we'll see some of OT and the entire shootout. How did the show start? Did they just go straight into the game? The quality of video is so-so. What will the '96 matches look like? Anyone have any suggestions on editing my recording (on the pc) for the best quality? My tv-to-dvd recordings have been great quality, but I'm wondering what I can do to actually improve from Comcast's feed. Probably a dumb question, though. If these turn out nice, I'll have my box set of the 10 greatest United games. Oh yeah.
Damn, that Ralston PK could have been a heartbreaker. One of the most unlucky bounces ever for a keeper. Has Dempsey worn those golden boots since this match. I'm thinking No. Ha!
1st commercial. Dave gave a little pre-game buildup. If you're going to copy, I would use the original - so it doesn't skip. Prettiest goals (best to worst) 1. Esky 100. Twellman 101. Moreno 500. Ralston PK
Comcast did a little intro summing up the season. There were no video highlights or anything fun. So while they did not go straight to the game there was certainly no fluff.
After they cut to the Revs bench after Noonan's goal, fatboy David Vanole (Revs Goalie Coach) nearly took up the whole screen. He gives new meaning to the famous Brit chant "Who Ate All the Pies". He makes Tony Meola look bulimic.
Buffet Dave Vanole was barred from the Golden Corral. Hard to believe that he used to be a National team keeper!
No kidding. My wife asked me why I didn't sit down and watch the game - I stood in our living room for about the last 45 minutes!!
AWESOME! Confetti was thrown in our house by both of my daughters! I will catch every Sunday brunch game!
I liked the sign in front of la norte that read "Jesus loves Nicky Saves", its funny to see how times have changed. The field looked great as well, the grass was all one color, and no pitchers mound.
