Re: Beira-Mar (Presidente faz apelo) I'm glad I'm not the only one pulling this old threads I got bad memories about Angeja, going over the bridge on the way to the hospital in Aveiro, my brother died in my mother's arm. I did stop a few years back in the old road, the river use to be to the side of the road, on the left coming from Aveiro, nice restaurant for barbecue chicken and good leitao.

Re: Beira-Mar (Presidente faz apelo) I hope that the new Leitão is as good as the old one ... but i have to say that Angeja's Leitão is still there. The place was totally renovated but the leitão is still great. That part of Angeja was renovated in the last 2 yrs so i guess it is 100% diferent from ur memories. The road by the river still exists but i guess the bridge Frank mentioned is Ponte de Cacia (not Angeja). Angeja's only bridge is a small one that takes us to the fields across an arm of Rio Vouga. Hope to see u guys in september for the Sanpaio da Torreira ! Beira-Mar will b back to the top flight next season and hopefully with CD AVES where my brother (and Timor Leste National Team star) plays. He is also a son of our region (our mother is Timorese).
