could be a bless for the CPLP countries
just imagine if Cape Verde had some of the talent back for the world cup, Mozambique should be coming up , Guine Bissau I don't see any improvement,
S Tome e Principe got get to it, small countries can do it

I Know that the world is not perfect, and Mr. Blatter is not a good example of an honest guy. But I also know that Africa diserves this competition, and we dont need / have the right to judge the africans only because they are black, or because they are muslim.

People are good or bad, nothing more.

South Africa might not be the best country of the world to live. But not all their population are bandits, I hope.

hmm I think maybe Africa should get 0.5 or 1 more spot but nothing more than that.

Reason? b/c Africa seems to be getting more competitive, as we see this year ALL African teams in Germany will be making their debut! and the more traditional African WC teams of Nigeria and Cameroon failed to qualify.
I will bet all my money that in 2010 at least 1 African team ends up going to the semis which will probably be South Africa, it will be the same case as what happened in 2002 with asian soccer.

Blatter is a Hypocrit and a kiss ass.The only reason why he said that Africa deserves another spot in the WC is because hes in Africa now, watching the AFRICAN NATIONS CUP.

Every Continent or Country he travels too,he makes a point of saying something nice ,even if its tottaly out of context......

yeah, and african football is going to be hyped up so much in the next few years, just like asian football in 2002.

like i said I will put money down right now that an african team makes final four in 2010, maybe even south africa the host. but my prediction for the final of 2010 will be Portugal defeating the african team (a 'strange' final in light of WC history) :) just a gut feeling I have.
