Will be a decent game, Bosnia aren't the best of teams but i've seen worse, Were probably only playing them because of the Croatia game
Bosnia NT tied with Spain twice. They seem good at defense, and so are Croatia. Ono has just returned to Japan. JFA is pressing Reds hard to release him before the season opener versus Gamba. Urawa will lose Santos, Hasebe, Tsuboi, and even Ono if they agree.
Japan line up Bosnia friendly TOKYO - Japan plan to play World Cup non-qualifiers Bosnia-Herzegovina in Germany on March 1 in their last international friendly match ahead of the FIFA World Cup finals. "We are negotiating with Bosnia-Herzegovina," Japanese Football Association president Saburo Kawabuchi told reporters Tuesday, saying a deal on the match was expected to be signed within a day or two. Although the Balkan country finished third in the European Group-7 and failed to qualify for the World Cup finals in Germany in June and July, they drew twice with powerhouse Spain. Japan had been originally scheduled to play Saudi Arabia away on March 1 in a Asian Cup qualifying match. But the match was postponed until September 1, despite Japan's protests, after Saudi Arabia sealed a deal to play World Cup qualifiers Portugal in Riyadh on that day.
I think this is good placement, because we should be able to call in all the Euro squad with very little complaint from them or their clubs.
Japan rearrange Bosnia match date TOKYO – Japan has rescheduled its international friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina, moving it forward by a day to Tuesday, February 28 to allow players to return to their J.League sides in time for the start of the new season. The two teams had originally planned to meet at a FIFA World Cup 2006 venue in Germany on the FIFA matchdate of March 1 but Japan Football Association president Saburo Kawabuchi said Wednesday that they had agreed to bring it forward to give the J.League players in Zico’s side ample time to get back to their clubs for the opening day of the season on March 4. The venue for the game has yet to be confirmed although Kawabuchi said that that the stadiums in Dortmund and Dusseldorf are on its shortlist. The Japanese were originally scheduled to play Saudi Arabia in an AFC Asian Cup 2007 Group A qualifier on that day but that game has been postponed to September 1 as the Saudis have arranged to meet Portugal in a World Cup warm-up match on March 1. Japan will open their Group A campaign with a home match against India on February 22.
yup, 13:20 here in Germany where the game will be. In Dortmund the stadium is very nice (and close to where i live and i haven't a ticket DAMN) many japanese fans from duesseldorf, the capital city of japanese who live in germany, will come. But the stadium will look very empty i bet
I wonder who the Germans will cheer for? Bosnia or Japan? Bosnia is from Europe and probably will be favorite, but Japan is not disliked by Europeans, or are they? I wonder if German media are covering it, or are they disregarding it?
I would be for Japan. GK Takashi Shimoda - Sanfrecce Hiroshima Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi - Jubilo Iwata Ryota Tsuzuki - Urawa Reds DF Makoto Tanaka - Jubilo Iwata Tsuneyasu Miyamoto - Gamba Osaka Keisuke Tsuboi - Urawa Reds Yuji Nakazawa - Yokohama F Marinos Teruyuki Moniwa - FC Tokyo Alex Santos - Urawa Reds Akira Kaji - FC Tokyo Yuichi Komano - Sanfrecce Hiroshima Koji Nakata - FC Basel MF Takashi Fukunishi - Jubilo Iwata Yasuhito Endo - Gamba Osaka Mitsuo Ogasawara - Kashima Antlers Shinji Ono - Urawa Reds Shunsuke Nakamura - Celtic Hidetoshi Nakata - Bolton Junichi Inamoto - West Bromwich Daisuke Matsui - Le Mans FW Tatsuhiko Kubo - Yokohama F Marinos Naohiro Takahara - Hamburg SV Atsushi Yanagisawa - Messina/Kashima Antlers Masashi Oguro - Grenoble
My starting 11 for Bosnia-Match ---------Kubo-----Yanagisawa-------- ----Nakamura-------------Matsui----- Moniwa-----Nakata---Inamoto-----Kaji -------Nakazawa-----Miyamoto------- --------------Kawaguchi-------------- Sorry Alex, but Moniwa is better
I remember when we played Iceland in England, there was next to nobody there, No Iceland fans and a handfull of Japanese and english, probably locals, thats what i think this match will be like. i doubt the Germans will pay much attention. And no Japan is not disliked in Europe, there quite popular there
Read in some Yahoo! Japan's article that Bayern Munich's scouts are coming to this match to search for Ballack's replacement, who is expected to transfer to a bigger club. Their target is probably on Nakamura... ASSUMING that the article can be trusted. I haven't found another source to verify this yet.
murai was clearly better than alex when given a chance except crossing the ball (not alex is any better) but was abondoned by zico. i think this squad will be too much for any teams in the world but at this moment they are still around 25% strength and the game may end japan 1-0 or 1-1
