Chung retires. http://www.mlsnet.com/MLS/news/mls_news.jsp?ymd=20060105&content_id=50006&vkey=news_mls&fext=.jsp
I would remove this from the list. While KC owned the MLS rights to Taylor Graham, he had not been with the team since being waived last winter. Since then he'd trained with Columbus, then signed on with Seattle. While he is an MLS acquisition of the Metros, he did not "move" from KC this offseason.
An interview in a SJ paper said he made up his mind earlier in the season, probably after the CO trade. Who knows.

It's a weird situation -- I wasn't sure what to do when it first went down. I removed him from the outbound KC and changed the wording to try and describe what happened in the Metros inbound.
Per some usually reliable posters on the LAG boards, both Pando Ramirez and Pablo Chinchilla will not be back with GaLAxy for 2006. Have not seen any official word from the team on either one.
Rojomania claims that Pando is considering an offer from an unspecified Tunisian club. They also say Carlos Ruiz is not returning to MLS in 2006. Other sources say that Pando Ramirez is currently training with Municipal (Guatemala) and considering an offer from an unspecified Ecuadorian club.
Thanks for the information. However, until there is some published confirmation on any of these moves, I can't officially add them to the list.

Jack Bell hints at an overhaul of the Metros roster, including the return of Djorkaeff, Meola and Guevara, and the probable departure of Razov and Zach Wells. Oh yeah, and you can put Lubos Reiter as "Outbound" for Chicago, because he's signed for Artmedia Bratislava in Slovakia.
Yeah, I've been debating whether or not to put Reiter on the board, but I can't find any news media source to confirm it other than the Fire Alarm site.
Crew have added two foreign defenders. Today we signed Marcos Gonzalez of Chile. He's an SI and a central defender. We also signed Joel Kitamarike, formerly of Chelsea's youth system, most recently with Dundee in Scotland. He's 21, from Uganda and will be a YI. CREW ACQUIRE CHILEAN DEFENDER MARCOS GONZALEZ AND BRITISH DEFENDER JOEL KITAMIRIKE Gonzalez, 25, Is Central Defender With National Team Experience; Kitamirike, 21, Is A Versatile Defender Out Of The Chelsea Youth System COLUMBUS, Ohio (Wednesday, January 11, 2006) - The Columbus Crew announced today the signings of Chilean central defender Marcos Gonzalez and British defender Joel Kitamirike. Both deals are pending approval of their work permits. Per team and league policy, no terms of the deals were disclosed. Gonzalez, 25, will be classified as a Senior International and Kitamirike, 21, a Youth International. Gonzalez is a 6-2 central defender who will be looked at to replace the retired Robin Fraser. He has made five full appearances with the Chilean national team, and has played in the Chilean First Division (Palestino, 2005; Universidad de Chile, 1999-2003) and the Argentine First Division (Colon de Santa Fe, 2003-2005). "We are very excited to sign Marcos," said Schmid. "He was heavily pursued by Universidad Catolica as their primary target for the upcoming Copa Libertadores but chose to join The Crew. We were looking for a central defender to replace Robin (Fraser) and to continue to help with the development of Chad Marshall and we found that in Gonazalez. He has some great experience but is a young player who should have many good years ahead of him in this league." Kitamirike, 6-0, was born in Uganda but moved to England when he was four and was in the Chelsea youth system from 2001-2004. He played with Dundee of the Scottish First Division from 2004-2005. "Joel is a versatile defender who was here for our mini-camp in November," said Schmid. "He can play centrally or on the right and is a young player with great potential." "One of our key philosophies to being consistently competitive in MLS is to make the most out of our international roster positions, particularly our senior international positions," said McCullers. "There is no doubt that our international options have increased dramatically because of our scouting and because of the management of our resources. Our coaches did a masterful job maneuvering to acquire these two players in the midst of stiff competition and within our financial parameters." The Crew is continuing preparations for the upcoming MLS SuperDraft. The Crew contingent will be attending the adidas MLS Player Combine on January 12-15 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The combine concludes five days before the draft. The 2006 MLS SuperDraft will then be held on January 20 in Philadelphia, in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The Crew owns three picks in the four-round draft (12 picks per round), including two picks in the first round, the third and ninth picks. Columbus also has the 27th overall pick, which is the third pick in the third round. The Crew obtained their second first-round pick in exchange for sending Jeff Cunningham to Colorado on January 14, 2005. Columbus does not have a second-round pick after sending their natural second-round pick to FC Dallas for Cornell Glen on April 26, 2005, who has since been traded to Colorado for defender Ritchie Kotschau. The Crew does not have a fourth-round pick after a January, 24, 2004 trade with D.C. to acquire Devin Barclay. -- TheCrew.com

So what can we determine about MLS from the moves that have happened thus far? Kansas City's 2006 marketing slogan: "Now 100% Diego Free" When asked about the team's strategy Bob Gansler said "Since folks keep trading us draft picks, we're going to pick up Diego Serna and trade him too." The acquisitions of Kitamirike and Canero are test balloons for the next expansion team, which will officially be "Dundee United USA".
Tim Ward for Chris Henderson should be going down soon. http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/article.php?article_id=5182
You forgot the all-important factor in Chicago's willingness to trade Will John: they will avoid the confusion between him and Will Johnson. And one reputable Chicago paper reported that Will John was actually sent to the Houston Wizards, so you'd better fix that.
