From Soccernet.com's Preview" "Reading boss Steve Coppell is set to make changes to his tiring side, despite a run of 10 consecutive Championship wins. Coppell will certainly keep faith with American goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann, who successfully kept a clean sheet for the 16th time this season in the 2-0 win over Leicester. However, Coppell hinted he may rest the likes of midfielders Steve Sidwell and Bobby Convey."
Match does NOT start until 17:15pm GMT (12:15pm EST).. Match can be seen on Setanta (DirecTV channel #615)
Pardon me. The Hob Nob board showed the Royals up 1-0 . I assumed it was right. They also said Convey would be on the bench. My mistake.
Nothing hinting at Convey being rested on the official site, although Gunnarson may come in. Truth be told, we've looked slightly better with Gunnarson playing rather than Sidwell. Resting Convey would seem a strange option, as he will probably most likely be rested next weekend in the cup at WBA. Unless he's picked up a knock I'd be surprised if he's rested. Top marks to the Reading fans who have gone up there for this game. Not only does it mean missing a large chunk of New Year's Eve, for a game they could be watching at home or in the pub for free, anyone paying on the day will be forking out a "bargain" £28 ($48) for the privilege.
Reading line up according to OS Hahnemann, Murty (c), Shorey, Sonko, Ingimarsson, Sidwell, Gunnarsson, Little, Convey, Doyle, Hunt Subs: Stack, Makin, Oster, Harper, Long
I posted line-ups from the BBC's "Championship Live" page and it was still Wednesday's stuff.. That's what he was refering to.. I deleted it in about 15 seconds but he posted faster..
Derby up, 1-0. You just need to cut and paste the link up there, and delete the space after "stream".
Doyle, 1-1. Seems as if he's up front alone. Harper sits in favor of Hunt. I wonder who Coppell will send in for Convey in the 70th?
