Player/USSoccer Deal is Finalized Players and US Soccer have finalized their deal. All systems go. http://ussoccerplayers.com/latest_soccer_news/502551.html
Re: The Deal is Finalized Now let us all gather in a circle and sing Kum-Ba-Ya to celebrate the occassion. Seriously, I am so glad we're not going to have to hear about this all spring. It's good to see both sides learned their lessons. Thanks for the link.

Obviously, great news. The best news is that the deal (from previous reports) will go through the NEXT WC in 2010, so we won't have to go through this again in 2 years.
U.S. Soccer, players union deal Here are all the details of the five-year deal between U.S. Soccer and the players union that was announced on Monday: http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/article.php?article_id=5025
Re: U.S. Soccer, players union deal Sorted out for not just Bruce: "He and his successor won't have to worry about that." So they know, do they?
USSF & USMNT Players agree to 5 year CBA Merry Christmas! It's official... one less thing to worry about. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=352705&cc=5901 (I think $3,000 per friendly is a nice check to get. ) Edited to say WHOOPS - didn't see the other thread! At least it's a second corroborating article. Mods, please feel free to merge.
Re: The Deal is Finalized Details listed in this article: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/S/SOC_US_LABOR?SITE=CODEN&SECTION=SPORTS&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT So who budged more? I'm so glad this won't be a distraction and people kept their word.
Re: The Deal is Finalized I would have to say the Fed did. A 50% pay increase after only 4 years? With a rate of inflation of what, 8-9% during that same span?
There's also this. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=352705&cc=5901 Can anyone explain to me who receives the money for "the squad", e.g., for having qualified for the world cup, when there are any number of players who are brought in by Bruce during qualifying for nothing more than a look? Is it divvied up by appearances, etc.? Just curious.
