Now let us all gather in a circle and sing Kum-Ba-Ya to celebrate the occassion.

Seriously, I am so glad we're not going to have to hear about this all spring. It's good to see both sides learned their lessons. Thanks for the link.

Quiet in front -- we're only on the second verse.

Obviously, great news. The best news is that the deal (from previous reports) will go through the NEXT WC in 2010, so we won't have to go through this again in 2 years.

Sorted out for not just Bruce: "He and his successor won't have to worry about that."

    So they know, do they?

(I think $3,000 per friendly is a nice check to get. )

Edited to say WHOOPS - didn't see the other thread! At least it's a second corroborating article. Mods, please feel free to merge.

That's some real big-time money for the players, I'm happy for them.

    There's also this.

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=352705&cc=5901

Can anyone explain to me who receives the money for "the squad", e.g., for having qualified for the world cup, when there are any number of players who are brought in by Bruce during qualifying for nothing more than a look? Is it divvied up by appearances, etc.? Just curious.
