Ok .. I'm pissed and tired of this BS.

After 3 hours of pre-game from Argentina for the Sudamericana Cup Final, now FSE again switches to their L.A./Mexican crew.

I understand there are millions of Mexicans in the US, no doubt about it. It is also true that when watching the EPL on FSE I have the option to SAP to English.

Well ... we need to get this peeps at FSE to offer us, the non-Mexicans, the option to SAP the commentary from Buenos Aires ... just as the rest of South America gets. The Libertadores is coming next semester and a solution is needed. It is unfair ... it is a South American tournament and the L.A. based crew is under-knowledgeable in regards to South American footie and to the game the way it is played down there.

It is simple ... it will take some action on our side before it is done thou.

Lets hear it ... post in this thread to start a campign. I will email Fernando Niembro with this suggestion too.

And to my Mexican friends on the board ... this is no troll at all ... it is an option that needs to be heard by the TV station.

    Peace ... and Dale Boooooooooooooooo!

i don't agree with the "dale bo..." but I'm 100% with you on everything else. I started a thread the other day because for two weeks in a row I had to watch Futbol de Primera with some clown talking in English over the original commentary... the last one was back the normal way, but somebody needs to tell the folks at FSE what's up.

I hate that clown very much. He's a complete douchebag and bastardizes the game through his comments. What is worse is that he thinks he's funny.
I think we're talking about the same guy.

You know Marco, I never thought we would agree on anything since you're a bostero, but I agree with you on this one. Those announcers are absolutely crap. Plain and simple.

Oh and one more thing. Enjoy this joke(I say this because the big clubs in South America shouldn't even be in this. It should be for the smaller clubs, just like in Europe with the UEFA Cup.) of a title while you can, cause you know as well as I do, that the Euro scouts were watching. It's only a matter of time before Bilos, Palacio, Gago, and a few more are plucked away.

I totally agree. I was watching the match (My god, Boca should have done much better... Even more the reason to be a Gallina :D) and the commentary was retarded to say the least. We deserve intelligent commentary, and let's face it, we can only get that from Argentines and Uruguayans.

I agree with you 100%, even on the "DALE BOCA!!!" I can't stand these announcers who are not just horrible, but if you pay close attention, are also extremely biased for Mexican teams, as are all Mexican announcers on Fox Sports. I have absolutely nothing against Mexico, but these announcers are just crap. Even during Boca's CELEBRATION after the game, they come out with statements like "well...there are a lot of people that really hate Boca and their fans." These type of negative comments, which can be heard during the game as well, are unnecessary and I have never heard anything like this from the Argentine announcers. I would also like to add that they lack a lot of knowledge on the laws of the game, and they speak about their OPINIONS on the referee's decisions on the air as if they are 100% correct, when in reality they're very wrong! And off course, many ignorant viewers will believe everything they say and will carry on spreading false information and blaming the wrong people for the loss. If there is absolutely anything we can do to change this, let me know because I've had enough of these idiots and I'm tired of having to watch games on Fox Sports on mute!

Coming from a Mexican such as myself, I HATE those FREAKIN Mexican commentators. They are way too biased, too boring, and too ignorant.

I prefer Mariano Closs and Fernando Niembro.

I agree. I cant beleive how much the level of exciment dropped when they went to the FSE Previa. We had the usual Argentine press getting all the interviews, being right in the thick of things in "El Caminito", had the inside scoop on everything, etc, etc. THen they go to these clown who were just rehashing what what said and had absolutely NOTHING to talk about for 2 hours.

Then came the game itself. And forget the fact they are Mexican or whatever. These guys just plain SUCKED. It makes me so mad that FSE actually spends money and resourses on this stuff when they could simply use the audio feed from Arg and give us a 1000x better product. I think even Mexican would enjoy it better, because we are talking about on the air talent here, not just nationality.

I wouldve sent an angry emai to FSE but I cant find their email.

I think this is something that we all, Mexicans and Non-Mexicans, can agree to and support.

I can understand wanting to target the mexican demographic with mexican announcers. it's perfectly fine, but there has to be better commentators in mexico than these two idiots they used. maybe if the mexicans can offer some names for their best commentators we can complain to FSE and at least
ask for a better mexican alternative..

The best commentators come from Televisa and Tv Azteca.

The Mexican commentators in the U.S. are the ones that either got fired from those two companies or couldn't get a job there.

The best Mexican commentators stay in Mexico.

O and another thing, Samuel Jacobo needs a serious ass kicking.

I agree with the original post. I want to add that I would like to see Futbol de Primera on Sunday, and more 'Sports Fox Noticias' and less 'Diario Fox Sport'.

I think that it is great that they have a lot of programs catering to Mexicans and a lot of TV stations catering to Mexicans. They certainly deserve them. But can't we have at least one channel which gives us more Argentine football and Argentine sports News on the weekend? And not just Argentine, I would like to see more from other South American leagues, as well.

Would it be possible to have two Sport Espanols? One which is yet another Mexican chanel, and caters to the majority, and then another one concentrating primarily on South American sports? Is there enough of a niche to make it a worthwhile market? I would think so. I would certainly pay for it.

Maybe that is something which can be also brought up to the powers that be at Fox.
