In 22 CCC matches this season, Reading (Hahnemann) have given up 11 goals.
    That's pretty amazing.

Has Bruce said anything about him being on the roster this summer ?

I can't imagine a scenario, barring injury, where he isn't, but I think his efforts, both on and off the field merit some kind of positive comments from BA.

I don't know of any overseas American playing any BETTER than he is right now.

Unfortunately, Murty, Shorey, Sonko and Ingimarsson aren't American! They help keep Marcus out of the firing line, but he's got to be a better bet than Howard on current form and confidence levels.

Marcus has come up big for Reading on several ocassions this year. Just this weekend he had a fantastic reflex save on a shot from about 5 yards that kept Reading in the game at 0-0 before they eventually pulled away.

Of course, he's also had some games like the one against Ipswich a few weeks back where he had one save to make and, in Marcus' own words... "My 7 year old could have made that save."

I think Howard and Hahnemann will both be on the roster and for me, Marcus is the backup and Timmy the reserve.

keller has been playing better, hence all the accolades this year. keller also has an arguably weak defense in front of him and is called on to perform magic tricks more often. but serious props to marcus....our usmnt is in very good hands between the sticks no matter who we put in there.

    You beat me to it.

What about David Yelldel? I don't think I've ever seen a picture of him.

I would have to think Marcus will be #2 by the summer with Howard playing no more than 5 first team matches..

Unless this rumor you've found about him going to the Toffees comes to fruition.

Little known fact. Back in the day, when Bruce Arena himself went on trial after his USMNT half-cap, all the clubs said, "Nope. Too much hair on that one." And sent him back home.

There's a reason Howard, Keller, Friedel, and Hahnemann get caps.

The SounderCentral.com galleries have a new album...."Where Are They Now?"

    http://soundercentral.com/gallery/WATN

Thanks to Robert Olsen the first photos in the new gallery are from Reading where former Sounder goalkeeper (1994-1996) Marcus Hahnemann is trying to lead Reading FC out of the English Championship and into the Premiership.

Judging from the photo, looks like Yelldel has as much hair as Keller, Friedel, Howard, and Hahnemann combined.
