Are there any other posters from Dallas? If so, then we could get together and catch the Everton game at a local pub. It would be nice to meet up with some other United fans in the area.
It's been awesome and I've been here a week or so. This forum is the best, the top-posters don't act like total idiots. Other forums, anybody with many posts you don't seem to want to approach, but here I'm sure nobody with a couple posts will hesitate to ask SirManchester, billyireland, DS, or Achtung questions, and you don't feel intimidated at all (I've just sealed my fate, eh ) So I'd like to say thank-you to everyone on here being so "accomodatable," lol.
Great thread. Through the ups and the downs, the ins and the outs, this board is the best. I don't post as much as most do, but I'm here almost daily to read what's up with you guys (and gals!). Living in LA sucks ass, but I escape it whenever I get the chance to come here. See, right now, I'm supposed to be writing a final paper for a class, but I'm here participating in this group hug. I hope that I haven't annoyed anyone here. Some of you I've PM'd here and there, and it is always great to interact with you guys. I feel there is a great appropriateness to this thread. Our team morale at this point seems to be very high, and it is only fitting that our forum morale be high. It's been a very tough year for us United fans, and the only way to get through it is to stay United. From the 'girls' threads, to the massacre of Zinn's catch phrase, DS's forays into our youth teams and loans, Motter's nuptials, johno's barbs with SirM, the music thread (?whyhasn'tthisbeenmade?), Fletcher debates, the fvckin' takeover, rape trials, contract holdouts, Keano, the loss of Bestie, the Middleborough Massacre, and Ballack, we have all remained relatively United. I also salute you all and hope that this following year is as good, no, better than the last. PS. Currently, the Forum TV Thread has become quite entertaining. By the way, I will not watch the Charlie Brown Christmas special tonight. What for? I have it on VHS and will watch it on Christmas eve, thank you very much.
Great Thread DS!! It has been a good year, I also don't post quite as much as others here, but do drop in every day and read most everything posted. I moderate another board and have to say that the posters here are a cut above with their knowledge of both United and football in general. It's never failed to stimulate thought and I have learned a lot from the other perspectives here (even you Johno ). Cheers to all and I look forward to the coming year ....
Thanks for the tip, if I ever feel the need to even more degrade my reputation by commenting on things that I really don't have a clue about, I'll be sure to stop by in the Toon section first Thanks anyway, I joined up to try and increase some basic knowledge, like, say, Forest are in League One
Nope, but be thankful that we communicate with text and not sound on this board otherwise you'd not be able to understand a bloody word I'm saying.
I'll have you know I'm happily bitch whipped and wtf does Q.E.D mean? Surely not Quod Erat Demonstrandum
I don't mind the bashing as much as I do that you dismiss almost every post that I make as folly...We all have one thing in common. Our love for our team, Manchester United. I frankly admit that in 20/20 hindsight some of my postings have been somewhat mind boggling. But I only say what is in my heart...Just please be patient with me. I will try to get better. Can I please be included in the group hug... I sure could use one tonight...
Sure you can be in the group hug. I got this piece of advice while in Philly hanging out with an English Red that travelled for the game against Celtic and he told me: "Just remember wherever you go, whatever you do, that you will always be a red and nobody can take that away from you." I also plan on keeping up with the U-19 Dallas Cup Super Group Man U team that is coming over in April for the tournament. I am going to see if I can get a friend to pull some strings so I can meet the group.
When we're not having group hugs, we all drink chai lattes, do each others nails, and watch The View together.
I think you've earned yourself an invite to our next movie night. Bring your jammies, a bottle of pino grigio, and a scented candle. Massage oil is optional...
