No, I'm not conducting it. I'm just starting to get nervous that it's not going to appear, as I had fully intended on wiping the floor with rest of your sorry asses this year :) .

Rules to winning all NCAA soccer prediction contests:
    1 - Always pick Indiana
    2 - The End.

I can keep the stats for it if no one else steps up to it. I figure we just use the same rubrik as other years unless people want something else this year.

    First round-1
    Second round-2
    Third round-4
    Quarters-8
    Semis-16
    Final-32

Way too much emphasis on the later rounds in the points, IMHO. Should getting every single one of the first round games really be worth only half as much as picking the final champion?

I'm open for whatever system people want. I'm just starting with what we've used the last few years as a starting base so we have something.

We always have this scoring system and people always complain about it. It's part of the tradition. Anyway, it shouldn't matter as much this year, since everybody is picking about the same teams to make the Final 4. Not a lot of upsets predicted this year, with a handful of teams that look to be clearly the best.

I like the outstanding defensive efforts of Penn State and UNC. Both teams are peaking defensively. Maryland is a little young and unseasoned this year -- too many matches where they have allowed goals in bunches (plus I picked the Terps last year and they disappointed with an older and more experienced team). Ditto Virginia and Duke, as to consistency. I keep betting against IU; certainly the odds will work out in my favor some day!
