Today's episode ("Ruined Joy's Wedding") was probably the funniest one since the third episode (although they've all been funny). From the fateful soccer ball that ruined Joy's and Crabman's wedding the first time, to Catalina's dancing (great googly moogly! ), to Crabman punching out Earl, to Earl's breakdancing... this episode had it all. Next week, we get to meet Earl's and Randy's dad. -G
I particularly liked the scene where they were shopping for paper plates and the wedding "cake" was priceless.
Did Jaime Pressley's white tube top look vaguely see through at the first wedding? I think there was a distinctive circular outline there, but maybe it was just my TV.
Tonight's episode with Earl's and Randy's dad wasn't quite as funny as the other episodes have been so far, but it was still pretty funny. Of course, last week's episode was a hard act to follow anyway. -G
Yeah, not as good as usual, but the scene where the Crabman talks about the electoral college and Jaime says "it must be a black thing" was worth the price of admission.
Anybody know the name of that 70s song that played mid-episode last night? I can't quite put my finger on it.
You know, I hope this show uses the "Cheers" approach to money. Logically, $100,000 won't last forever, maybe a couple of years, and neither guy is working. Just like, logically, on Cheers people were always spending money you knew they logically couldn't afford to spend. I fear the day that the show changes and one or the other gets a job. Let's just pretend the money was wisely invested and is drawing 20% interest. Dream with me, people.
of course, it's just a silly sitcom and so we can all just imagine that it'll last forever. I mean he's living in a dumpy motel and eating out of vending machines. he hasn't bought a car or clothes, so he's gotta be doing ok. logic and earl shouldn't ever collide.
Am I the only one who thinks this show is a little overrated? Or maybe I'm mis-reading comments here, but I just think it's a moderately amusing show but if there were any tivo season pass conflicts I wouldn't mind if it got bumped. Maybe it's because I'm from Texas (I'm convinced my co-worker loves this show as part some kind of NYC cultural superiority thing he's got going).
I liked last night's episode alot. The tasering of Jaime was hilarious. There were also alot of small things that were very funny. Crabman & Jaime plaing Mousetrap. The dog humping the prosthetic leg.
No, it was the song that started right after Earls Dad busted in on the debate and he mentioned the airplane noise and it went to a montage of people hearing the noise 19 minutes in. "People, keep on learning..." was the first lyric and it had kind of a funky beat to it.
