I had the pleasure of interviewing Frasco on Friday night; he was one of Portugal's best midfielders of all time. I closed out the interview asking him of all the current players in Portugal which one plays or has the same characteristics as those he showed us when played in the 1980s. He actually mentioned the oneplayer I had in mind. I thought of creating this poll for those that actually got to see him play and see what you guys think. Who did Frasco mention? BTW, the interview hopefully will be on tomorrow's Portugabol show @ 8 PM. The answer will be revealed then.

I wish that I had remembered him enough to make a comment. As an aside, I went to a baptism last night and saw my Dad and Godfather (who played for Santa Clara in the 60's). I had the question in my head but was so comsumed with running after my son and listening to yesterday's match that I had totally forgotten to ask them

Frasco mentioned Diego as the player the most closely relates to his own style of play. Congrats to ferreiraJL as the only one up to this point who correctly picked Diego!

he was actually in Massachussetts this weekend (Ludlow I think) as a guest for a fund-raiser party of a local FC Porto club. He arrived on Friday and left yesterday afternoon. I had forgotten he was a coach, he was with Sousa at Beira-Mar and the only reason he's not with him this year @ Rio Ave is because its' president claims he had a problem with him some 14 years ago. Very nice guy and down to earth he is.

that is very good news. He's a genuine Portista and really is on top of the youngsters playing for Porto and other teams. Really down to earth guy, I wish him the best. Thanks for the news Frank. As always we could count on you to keep us informed... ;)
