SL Nacional 0-0 FC Porto SuperLiga 2003/2004
SL Nacional 1-2 FC Porto SuperLiga 2002/2003
SL Nacional 2-3 FC Porto Liga Portuguesa 1990/91
SL Nacional 0-3 FC Porto Liga Portuguesa 1989/90
SL Nacional 0-1 FC Porto Liga Portuguesa 1988/89

Nacional is in 2nd place after 7 weeks, still undefeated, and the club has already stated that their goal for this season is to secure a place in next year's UEFA Cup.
So far they have been looking very competent, not just at home (Sporting already lost there) but also away.

And lets not forget, last year, in 2 games against Nacional, we got 1 point, scored 2 goals and allowed 6 (!), including that humiliating 0-4 result at home. So i'd say we got something to play for, other than just the three points.

Should be a hard test for the team. I bet Jorginho will score a goal!

Nacional killed us last year. Had Porto gotten 4 points out of them we would have been Champions

    my team

    -------------------Baia-------------------

    Bosingwa---P.Emmanuel---R.Costa----Cech

    ----------------Assuncao-----------------

    ----------Diego-----------Lucho----------

    Quaresma------B.McCarthy---------Jorginho

We need to keep playing Quaresma he is really starting to become a great allround player

Id still prefer Lisandro instead of Jorginho but its almost a good balanced team

Also whats going on with Meireles and Postiga

Nacional will be without Patacas and there is some doubt as to whether Andre Pinto and Bruno will be ready to play:

Bruno e André Pinto estão em dúvida no Nacional para o jogo deste domingo com o F.C. Porto, mas existe a sensação de que poderão recuperar a tempo. Manuel Machado, de qualquer forma, só vai anunciar a lista de convocados ao final da manhã de amanhã.

De fora, com toda a certeza, fica o lateral Patacas, que não vai recuperar da lesão. Não participou na sessão de hoje, tendo ficado remetido a tratamento, o que deverá continuar a acontecer durante a próxima semana.

    Lineup:

Suplentes: Paulo Ribeiro, Ricardo Costa, Ibson, Raul Meireles, Diego, César Peixoto e Alan.

Looks like Diego, Ibson, Cesar Peixoto and Ricardo Costa have lost their spots

Suplentes: Hilário, Fernando Cardozo, Anic, André Pinto, Alonso, Luisinho e Nuno Viveiro.

I seriously tried to watch but I just can't. The Nacional chants are so bad and annoying. I hope they NEVER expand that stadium god forbid we had 30,000 voices doing those chants.

BTW: When did Nacional change their logo to make it look like a mixture of some random Brazilian team and Manchester United?

Come on it wasn't that boring ;)

We played well in the 1st half but the tempo slowed down considerably after Almeida scored. Anyways, I'm happy. Co is starting to get things together and getting 3 points in Choupana is not easy.

I think there were only 4,000 in Barcelos today too and then there's Setubal who can't even pay their players. Honestly, I think the relegation system isn't the best way of doing things in a small country.
