Anyone know if they expect a sell-out for this Sunday's game? I hear that attendance drops alot in the play-offs but I don't know to what extent.

It drops a lot in the playoffs because people can't plan ahead for it. Most of the G's money is made by group sales that are coordinated outings far in advance. This match in particulae ended up being the TV one, so it got moved because of that, which drops attendance even more.

It's pretty sad we can't sell-out a playoff game if you ask me.

what do you expect - we couldn't sell out a cup final in our home stadium, well one that we appeared in.

honestly though, i have a ticket to the game sunday, and right now i'm leaning pretty heavily towards not going. 5 hours of my life, plus expenses to watch steve crap something on the field. meh i've got better things to do with my sunday.

    Exactly, I'm with the Dog....

If 15 people show up, I will be part of that crowd. No part-time supporter here.

A sell out would be a miracle and a win too. After what i Saw Saturday Night, Im seriously doubting a win

I remember getting your season tickets from you in like 2001, and watching a mid-day playoff game against the Metrostars, and there couldn't have been more then 3-4k people there (though MLSNET says 6k).

    I'm sure we'll beat that.

I won't be there, but my six seats will have Galaxy fans. There are a lot of season ticket holders in our section, and they'll be there too. I imagine the club seats will be light.

it wasn't a real sell out. it was an artificial number based on hamiltion's inability to really sell the place out. "limit the seats to 10,000", create the perception of scarcity, voila sell out. i'd bet if the artificial limit weren't set we wouldn't have hit 10K, just as much as a i bet if the ten thousand and first person showed up they wouldn't have been turned away.

Exactly. I was given seven free tickets above the two I already got as a season ticket holder. Really it was more of a "free out" than a "sell out."

At least us fans that do show up will be the true and loyal ones. 18k of us will be louder then an average 27k sellout with alot of soccer moms.

I am so mad at the team for losing against San Jose at home, that I will not attend the game on Sunday. I do wish them luck and hopefully they win but it is time for fans to start expressing the disapointments and damage that occur when a team does not care or provide good results. "Enough is Enough" FIRE STEVE SAMPSON!!!

So, if we win the game that really matters, you'll miss it out of spite?

    BRILLIANT!

The game that really matters will take place at San Jose. It has been proven that the Galaxy could score three goals and fvck it all up on the road. Just how we lost against San Jose when leading by three goals in the previous play offs.

 Some fan you are! We didn't play SJ in the playoffs last year. We lost to the Wizards. When we lost to SJ in 2003, we were leading by four goals. And that game, to this day, is why I think Schmid was sacked.

What better way to bury all of that than by beating SJ? :p

I think we will pull it out up in Spartan, and how sweet it will be, Tyrone back to add solidity, LD flipping off all the gimps up there when we win, then we march on to Frisco.
