You don't keep players like that around the club on the off-chance that we get hit with injuries across the board. I sure as hell wouldn't want his attitude spreading to the other younger players, particularly when he starts complaining about never getting playing time.

Well I just read that RVP is injured too. Great. :(

So I'm changing the lineup I expect to see:
    JAR-Bergkamp
    Pires-Cesc-Flamini-Ljungberg
    Clichy-Cygan-Toure-Lauren
    Jens
Bench: Almunia, Senderos, Song, Quincy, Lupoli

I agree with everyone who says that they'd like Senderos over Cygan but I just don't think Wenger will do that. Senderos was injured when the first team last playted, has had a busy time with the Swiss team, Wenger might want to save Senderos for the CL game, and Wenger doesn't seem to think Cygan is a nightmare. All that adds up to a Cygan start would be my guess. I replaced RVP with Lupoli since he was one of the guys we took to the Ajax game when RVP was banned. The other possible guy who could come in to the subs would be Eboue.

Looking at that group, I'm keeping my 1-1 prediction. Now we won't even have RVP to force an own goal. ;)

I agree with Cannon a draw is a likely outcome. Just don't see where ths goals will come from. I am not convinced that Reyes is yet the real deal. He just seems to give the ball away too easily and does not yet seem to "sense" when he should shoot for goal. Most of the goals I have seen him score are clear cut. Not to say he does not score good goals. But he just does not seem to have a nose for them like Henry or Dennis.

Lets hope for a solid win

Bergkamp can't score either. Atleast Reyes can have a huge effect on our match. He's practically our best passer in our team right now as his passes normally lead to goals.

Reyes gets himself numerous chances because he's so skillful and fast. He just needs to learn to finish them off. He's more suited to left wing as there won't be pressure for him to score goals. I'd drop Pires and start Reyes on the left and Lupoli and Quincy/Bergy upfront.

I would usually agree with moving Reyes to the left mid position since I think he is much better there than up top. However, when we don't have Henry and RVP, it doesn't make sense to put in one of the kids and move JAR.

Lupoli looked undersized and simply not ready last time we saw him play for the first team. Quincy's finishing is certainly worse than Reyes. However, I think that dropping Pires (looked horrible much of the season) for Quincy on the left wing would be a better move although that would be a pretty young left side with Clichy there as well. Quincy is fast, can take on defenders with the ball, and can pass well. JAR and Quincy would certainly place some pressure on the Baggies right side in that formation.

Here's Arsenal's lineup (obtained at Sky sport's website):
Lehmann, Lauren, Toure, Senderos, Clichy, Ljungberg, Flamini, Fabregas, Pires, Reyes, Bergkamp.

    Subs:Alumunia, Eboue, Cygan, Owusu-Abeyie, Song.

    Anyone doing PBP?

Glad that Wenger went with Senderos. Certainly improves our chances for a clean sheet. Hopefully this doesn't mean that we'll see Cygan on Tuesday. Also, Eboue gets the call over Lupoli. Sounds good to me...well as good as can be expected given who we have left uninjured.

    I'd appreciate any pbp. Thanks.

15 min in...Arsenal are clearly holding the majority of possession. Fabregas in to the box, shoots, Robinson bats down ball to DB10 who misses a sitter in the box.

    SENDEROS SCORES OFF CORNER!!!

I think we need to keep Reyes on corner kicks and indirect free kicks, even when TH14 returns. His delivery is great and the big players - Gilberto, Senderos, Campbell, Toure and Cygan - are able to get to the ball.
