can't say enough about the ball skills Arvizu is showing here. looks soooo comfortable on the ball, even against a pair of defenders.

Would love to see a US goal in this half. Definitely deserve it. I hope there's no 1994 Baggio on this Italy team.

Italy is not building anything from the back, just booting it hopefully downfield. They have talent but are not stringing passes together.

As EJ would say, they got som GA Defenders.

Wow.... a 0-0 draw in the U-17's? The other day we had 24 goals in just four games!

Italy coach is pacing the sidelines.

Counter by Italy cross from left, Italy player can't control, then fires across face of goal, comes to nothing.

    Best chance for italy 42'

Appo- too bad that in soccer...a beat down without goals is less than useless..

From 30 years (egad) of watching soccer now, I'd say the US odds of scoring first and next are around 50-50. In other words, the build-up until now hasn't meant diddily..

Having said, I'm more interested in seeing some talent on display then winning, and it sounds like this game is going better than Korea- in which (I saw about 40 minutes of that match)...well, it was pretty depressing.

Maybe they were just showing their (young) age that game...

I'm watching the game live in Honduras (on national broadcast free TV might I add). The announcers are unimpressed with both teams. They are saying it is the worst played game of the cup so far. Also commenting on lack of stars on the US squad.

    HT 0-0

US with most of the play. This is typical Italian stuff. They will play defensively, cautiously in the first half. They are studying the opponent and looking for weaknesses. In the 2nd half they will attack those weaknesses. Just when you think you have control of the game, they will spring the counterattack and wham! You are down 1-0.

The US should be wary of the counterattack, but still keep on attacking, keeping pressure on the backline. Eventually we'll get a goal. Arvizu has been very good so far.

I think you are working off a bit of a delay on your feed.

I am watching it (at work) on some Chinese feed.
